Exactly right SC - I just don’t see the M&P rig share option making any sense now. If they need to drill CH1 before the pipeline is finished, there might not be enough time - or it will be cut extremely close. M&P have three wells, which will take time, and they could run into all sorts of the issues including with the rig itself! I believe that the PURA process will result in ARA being told they should pursue a separate option.

Full update to follow, but ARA are in discussions regarding several rig options. This does include the M&P rig, but the BOD were keen to stress that this is not the only option. The BOD confirmed very clearly that CH1 will be drilled before the pipeline is completed and that the TPDC / Tanz govt are now pushing very hard for the drill to happen quickly. I get a feeling the M&P option might mean that CH1 is drilled too late to satisfy the Tanzanians and so they might need to go down an alternative route.

The tendering process will determine the actual date for CH1 but my personal take is a spud in Q1 2026. We will know much more after the tendering process is completed.

Absolutely Crusty, and I would never expect you to make any decisions based on my opinion, I was merely setting out my rationale as to why this year is very different to last (ie EPC contract signed, physical pipeline works starting this month, rig tenders to be issued next month and numerous off take agreements signed). Based on this, I fully expect the pace of operations to kick up a few gears now, but we will see whether I am right or not, and the AGM should give us a good signal..

Well Crusty, with the EPC contract in Chinese hands and physical works on the pipeline starting this month, plus rig tendering for CH1 now being expedited and formal tenders being issued next month, I don’t there is any chance of a repeat of last year’s pattern. The drill is 100% happening and it’s being fast tracked. The only way is up now !!

“Earlier this week, APT presented a tender strategy to the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (PURA) for contracting a rig to drill the Chikumbi-1 well and perform a workover on the Ntorya-1 well, along with all related services. PURA requested this strategy to expedite the tendering process. Once APT receives approval from PURA, it will immediately issue the rig tender and tenders for other necessary services, expecting to do so no later than mid-August 2025.”

The only reason PURA would want to expedite the rig tendering process is that they want to fast track the drilling of CH1 !

Great day of volume yesterday and should be more of the same today in anticipation for further news at the AGM tomorrow !

Edgar, bang on! We’d have been diluted into oblivion by now without it, and imagine the progress we’d have (not) made if it were AEX and not ARA dealing with the Tanzanians. The farmout and free carry was an absolute masterstroke by the BOD and carries truly immense value for us going forward!

Once 2p is broken then there is not too much resistance to 3p. Even at 3p this is hugely undervalued for what is coming our way soon ! Success in multiple stacked zones at CH1 and we’re talking about 10p plus.

Great diagram SC ! That sure would be the sweet spot for CH1 ! When you think of the explosion in the share price to 7.9p on hitting that comparatively thin section of Ntorya with NT2 - then add in the additional stacked plays including Unit 3 - you can see why 10p+ is really on the cards with this drill !

That’s the beauty of this AA, this is still a huge multibagging opportunity at these levels and nobody has missed this boat ! We’re talking 3x, 4x, 5x from these levels with success at CH1 !

And just to think, there were some clueless simpletons labelling this a “weak sell” at 0.9p ;-)

This is just the start! If we get a favourable drill date confirmed soon then we will fly past 2p the 3’s IMO !

A new article in Daily News confirms that PURA officials have travelled to China to inspect a rig ahead of drilling at Mnazi Bay.

And notably, there is no mention of APT or CH-1.

That absence speaks volumes. If there were plans for a shared rig between Mnazi Bay and Ntorya, we’d expect APT to be involved in that same inspection process. They’re not. And that fits perfectly with what we already know:

APT is running its own rig tender, PURA is currently reviewing APT’s independent rig mobilisation strategy and wanting to expedite the process. And Wilson Makembe has publicly confirmed: APT will not be sharing a rig.

What we’re seeing now isn’t just progress, it’s separation. Two projects, two budgets, two rigs.

Wilson’s take is that APR are likely to now “bring the rig from Kuwait (2nd option presented in Q2).”

And if M&P can source and move a rig from China to drill this November, then there is nothing stopping us achieving a Dec/Jan spud date for CH1 !

Aminex holds 25% of Ntorya, now confirmed at 3.45 TCF (P50), with upside to 7.95 TCF (P10).

Apply a conservative $0.75 per MCF field value (in-ground gas, based on peer comps like Panoro/Savannah and allowing a discount) and here’s what you get:

P50 field value: c$2.59 billion

Aminex 25%: c$648 million

At today’s exchange rate (0.74), that’s £480 million, or c11.4p per share

And the P10 upside pushes this well beyond 18p–20p

We’re trading at around 1.8p today.

This isn’t a discount it’s a complete disconnect.

And once CH-1 confirms scale, that gap starts to close, fast !!

Tanzanian energy insider Wilson Makembe has just confirmed:

CH-1 will be drilled before July 2026 so the produced gas can be tied into the pipeline.

That aligns perfectly with what many of us have been expecting. CH-1 is required for early gas volumes, so it will need to be drilled well before NT-2 hook-up. The overall momentum behind the project is visibly accelerating.!

Wilson also clarified recently that APT won’t be sharing the rig after all, confirming that CH-1 is being expedited as a standalone well. No rig sharing means faster mobilisation, and rig and drilling tenders are now a matter of when, not if. Just waiting on PURA now before tenders are issued in the coming weeks.

For those who don’t know, Wilson correctly called CPP winning the EPC contract months in advance, before it was public. He’s credible, and clearly plugged in.

CH-1 is incoming.

And the value disconnect won’t last forever.
