I disagree Hamm. The right farm-out would be great but we can walk away and go it alone if necessary. We have cash now, money likely to come in from Sunsteppe, POO likely elevated for a lengthy period. Would we have enough to bring H2 and Gobi onstream, de-wax H1, plus drill a Gazelle 2, a Heron 3 etc. Moreover at what level of stabilised flow and income would we pass a stress test with a bank for RBL? Buck himself said we could go it alone if we had to, but similarly he said that Farm-out is absolutely the preferred route. Full disclosure, I've said before that I'm not against another raise for accretive reasons ie to bring another well onstream. All ifs and buts but this is AIM and predicting the future is the game. The new oil price and our lack of debt are potential game-changers. I think it is important to counterbalance the doomsday scenarios peddled on here that the company is finished without a farm-out. A lack of a farm-out changes the timeline not the destination in my view.

I'm very much of the opinion that the longer we hear nowt the more likely the farm-out or sale will happen. Saying 'no' takes a lot less time than thrashing out a deal to satisfy all parties. That seems logical to me.

Totally agree. Not just short-term over 100 bucks a barrel but it's looking a longer-term issue now. Inflation will rise for sure. Oil storage facilities either full up or blown up so the only thing to do is mothball production infrastructue. It will all take a long, long time to normalise. All good news for Russia now though. And little Matd which is clearing $20K plus PER DAY, will probably up production in about two months and is nowhere near the middle east. The rush to develop green sustainable energy is accelerating as it simply has to, and we have our Zula front and centre in negotiations with the Arabs and Chinese. The company is in the best position it has ever been, no doubt about that.

BTW Furry, just for the sake of accuracy, the decision was taken to postpone Gobi because Gazelle was such a surprising success that it was deemed better to concentrate on bringing it onstream to get the money coming in asap rather than move straight onto Gobi. An incredibly wise move as things have turned out and one which most LTHs seemed to agree was the right thing to do. Check the facts before you try to reramp, Furry old bean.
