The ONLY thing I've ever agreed with Trump on is his view that the Europeans need to get their sheet together and starting spending big money on defence. We should create a pan-European defence force under the combined aegis of Blighty and France and maybe the Germans. Half a billion reasonably well-off people in Europe with huge arms manufacturing capacity in-house so to speak so potentially as a great superpower than anyone. There was a reason Putin funded the pro-Brexiteers as he wants to disrupt European integration and combination. Farage, le Pen, AfD etc are just Putin's useful idiots. Blighty sh9uld absolutely be at the heart of a strong Europe, but never a slave to it. Exactly as Churchill said.
