Tbh I tend to base my understanding of our climate on the opinions of scientists rather than on those of random nobodies who spend their entire lives posting on a bulletin board. Weird, right? Astonishing how people will simply use all sorts of spurious and specious arguments to ignore what is utterly and compellingly obvious. 'Don't look up' indeed.

Just wondering when oil will go back up to over $130 as some posters predicted in hundreds of posts. It's around $71 now so must start to go back up soon, eh? Also, are there still any climate sceptics on this board? Look out of the window if you are one. You may hate Ed Miliband but he is way, way cleverer than you. And he's right.

Yes, it's amazing how many of these types think posting on a board as a long-term investor and posting as someone who would never buy a single share have an equivalence in terms of credible reasons for posting. It's like they genuinely believe they are doing something worthwhile. It's really bizarre.

I'll never understand why people sit all day, every day, on a bulletin board for a stock they would never invest in just to be able to say that they feel justified in not investing. It absolutely defeats me that this sort of nihilistic behaviour seems to give them so much pleasure that they do it for months, years even. Every board seems to have a few, too. It's a sad reflection of the sort of world without depth or hope or meaning we have created. Was it the philosopher Thoreau who talked about the majority of people 'living lives of quiet desperation'? That was over 150 years ago and it's still so utterly the case today. Just more so.

What liabilities?

Good work Investor. Really important to debunk the endless disinformation spread on here. Wrt dividends etc. I'd rather see a share buy-back at this stage. I think that would actually have a bigger impact.

Doc is another one who doesn't know what 'imminent' means - they said the last raise was imminent for SIX MONTHS before it happened then came on here gloating that they were the only one who predicted it correctly!! And as it turned out the raise was nicely accretive as we brought Gazelle onstream with the cash.

Anyway, Brent still loitering around $80. That's a lot higher than it was back in February and way beyond what most 'analysts' were predicting for 2026 as a whole; many predicted it hovering around $50 for much of the year.

Spot on Investor. Unfortunately, in the current slide towards libertarianism so many people don't accept that 'contract'. The irony with libertarians is that they are often very keen to limit the freedoms of those the see as 'other'.

Thanks Dan. Hopefully this is just the start of a much-needed crackdown on trolling and abusive behaviour online. I'm very much an advocate for abolishing anonymous posting, not just on here but on all social media platforms. I'd happily use my real name on here provided everyone else was obliged to also. If you want to post online then prove your identity first like you have to do in so many facets of life already. I think ID cards are inevitable in the UK. I've been involved for a ling time in campaigns to clean up the open sewer that is so much social media. As it is now, it is literally destroying civil society. 'Freedom of speech' is not the same as being able to say whatever you want without consequence. Certainly giving company's a right to reply to fact-check misinformation would be a great start. Bring it on.

Buck, let's have a positive update early next week - workover at H2, or sales agreement reached and back-payment made, or tell us the seismic is booked and ready to go in a couple of weeks, or the drilling firm for Gobi have got back with a price, or Zula has attended any one of a number of important meetings etc. It doesn't have to be earth-shattering but maybe just follow-up on plans outlined in the AGM update? I know we're all meant to be patient blah, blah but we're nearly into Q3 and we have no idea when any operational work will start. We can't become a company with a perceived 2-3 month per year operational window and the other 10 months making phone calls and doing the odd check on our two wells. Come on ffs
