We got the sign-off on the agreement that so many kept saying was not going to happen. The company is no an oil producer with income for the first time ever. I'm delighted.

This line is all we need to post really;

'We've got oil, an income stream, no debt and a plan'.

Great post Thorn. It really is the way to look at things. I'm in profit now so am pretty relaxed. The constant greenboxes are irritating but they're irrelevant and lonely nobodies really. I'm looking to hold for a few years from here as I think, given time, some big developments could play out, particularly wrt Sunsteppe. I might buy more and trade a few on the way, but I'll always have at least a million of these, growing steadily hopefully.

Totally agree Tenbag. There is no benign explanation for somebody who is not invested to spend every day of their lives on that share's discussion board. It is clearly part of a wider coordinated campaign with others to undermine the company's share price. That is the only possible explanation for such a sustained and relentless attack. That's why I say it is illegal. It's not the odd post but literally thousands and thousands of negative posts on every aspect of the company and every word the company has said publicly. It is sinister and criminal and LSE really should stop their platform being used in this way by this gang. All we can do is greenbox, but it needs a concerted effort by all honest posters to do the same.

The company is in the best shape it has ever been in. This has to be a fact as we are generating cash for the first time ever. Assets, income, cash in the bank, a whole season ahead of us, NO DEBT, JV interest, Sunsteppe a growing player, more wells to come onstream, political support at the highest levels. Ignore the human trash. Focus on the fundamentals, which are getting better with each day.

Spot on Tenbag. Borzon is a field for the future. Minimal outlay before 2027, and then go-ahead with drilling if 1)the seismic and technical analysis suggests it is worth doing so and 2) if the finances allow. Anyone suggesting we have to find 14 mill suddenly out of nowhere is a liar trying to spread misinformation. Simple as that really.

Totally agree Manx. The company has been completely transparent about their handling of H1. It is as you say. Everything has been about safety, protecting the well, and having a regular but cautious flow-rate through the winter. There is no ambiguity about anything they've said. We are in Spring now and they are now therefore working on upping production safely and with control, as you would expect. Let's not forget that H2 was never a duster. It flowed but at a low rate. Again, with the onset of Spring weather they will be working on H2 to try to make it more 'enthusiastic'. We might speculate on what a commercial flow rate might. It flowed at 30bopd we were told.

Yes, I'm assuming they're opening the choke at H1 and testing and checking pressures, sand, gas etc. In other words gradually and safely with control. The bigger question is whether they've had a go at stimulating it too and see what that does to the rate, pressures etc. We've only ever been given unstimulated rates and the original 821bopd was thus unstimulated and described as one of the highest rates ever achieved like that in the entire basin. The mind boggles at what stimulation might achieve, even more so if H2 comes online in the near future.

Moreover, Mike Buck has been at pains to point out how helpful our neighbours have been to us. It's not unreasonable to suggest that they could well be a source of advice on how to get a tune out of less enthusiastic wells as they must have encountered just such issues over in their block with the many wells they have sunk. After all they make a bit on each extra barrel we produce, and it's also in their interests to help now if they are a potential JV partner or buyer. Again, I praise Buck for his patience and tact in dealing with the Chinese. Very easy to offend by coming across as a pushy, entitled European with a col9nial mindset. Buck has proven himself very adept at intercultural communication, judging also by the way he has got the Mongolians solidly behind us, and in creating the JV with Sunsteppe, a local outfit. Do not underestimate these 'soft' achievements.

Agree TenBag. Everything reinforces the correctness of Buck's decisions outlined in the update and AGM. Low-cost remedial work to existing wells, max the bopd and income with minimum outlay, assess potential partners for JV or possible sale, sort the agreement with PC, establish a solid routine for getting our oil to market, look for marginal gains through streamlining, cost-cutting and better power connection to Heron, keep across Sunsteppe's talks with investors. Once we've had a period of real consolidation, our position wrt JV or sale is much stronger and we proved we can pay our way. I've always preferred a patient CEO who builds incrementally.

Totally agree about Sunsteppe. That's the sector where the big bucks are coming in. Was great leadership Buck to start the pivot to renewables so early. We know the CEO there is involved at the intergovernmental level, so is clearly a key player in the sector. We also know that investors are tapping up Sunsteppe already. I'm happy with Matd's progress as an oil producer. I'm excited about Matd's future in the renewables sector. Early diversification is a great move.

As I've said before, it's great that we aren't saddled with debts to service as this is what cripples oil companies in particular due to the vagaries of the oil market. The American economy is tanking, the Russian economy is tanking and the Saudis need a high oil price long term to fund their ambitions, the Chinese can't afford a trade war. Trump's approval ratings are the lowest in history for a 100 day Presidency, so he'll do anything to change that as he's a narcissist. He'll blink in the end. He is so out of his depth it's frightening. Even the lunatic MAGA zealots can see what's happening. Also Canada voted in a centre left Government in direct response to Trump's idiotic threats, Australia may well go the same way. Things could change rapidly.
