RE: Strike off discontinued23 Aug 2023 13:35
This is the message I sent to my contact at the pension company. I have had an out of office type reply to say the person is on holiday. From memory, she will be back in the office within a week.
I hear what you say, bashing me over the head regarding a TR1 but would that have changed the fact that PG is keeping DKE from being taken out of suspension?
FWIW, he probably paid for the auditing of the company accounts with MY money. Regardless, I have done other things to try and resolve this but like the rest of us here I can't "force" PG/DKE to do what they don't want to do!!
Good morning XXXX
I am writing to you as my regular contact at XYZ Ltd in the hope that you can help me, or direct me to the best person.
From previous correspondence you will know that I had an investment through my SSAS into Dukemount plc which was a main market listed business supposedly about to be involved in a reverse takeover with significant upside.
I was ‘in and out’ of this company a couple of times with different investments, but my current investment which is currently ‘trapped there’ is c £91k.
The share has now been suspended for almost a year and there is a strong feeling amongst some investors (which include me) that there has been wrongdoing/ deception by the lead board player in this (it almost looks like a one man company) and that some actions should be taken.
I find it incredible that there is not more oversight of a main market listed company and that the sort of behaviour we have seen is allowed to happen.
In my position in making the investment decisions for the SSAS I received a big caution from Interactive Investor on a similar investment to the point that I did not invest. I received no such warning from them on Dukemount.
I would like to understand what is the position on this now if we wanted to take some action. My sense is that it is the pension scheme trustees technically own the shares, and given the detriment to the scheme’s assets are the people who need to contact the company to make the case and take that forward.
I think there is potentially a separate issue with ii in lack of care to me as an inexperienced investor – but I am less concerned about that here.
Could you advise me on my / your position in this please as I believe we need to act promptly before all trails are covered and the company ceases to exist and they have ‘got away with it’
If a Zoom call to discuss is easier please let me know.
Many thanks,
Michael
