Falling, you're clearly very good if you have had a 92 break. My only two centuries are 124 and 101 and I've had a gaggle of 80s and 90s but I will put that in context by admitting I have had my own table for 21 years. As a snooker mad youngster it was a milestone I achieved very early in my career.
Anyone whose best break is above say 40s definitely has some competence. Those who get the odd 30 or 40 at best fall into two camps, one where everything falls in line for them once in a blue moon, and the other where the one ball they aim for next they get right.
One of the joys of snooker is the art of break-building, knowing how to play the table and play the percentages. Top players rarely aim for just for one red for example, they (we!) aim to put the white in a zone that gives us options and margins for error. When you're playing well, it's a game where the touch and feel of each shot help you too. I rarely play a white plain ball.
In recent years I've lost interest a bit, but there is still the odd time I sink a few single malts and it all comes back. I didn't play snooker competitively and rarely played anyone anywhere near my level, but boxing I did. I never lost a single fight (inside or outside of the ring)
You'd probably give me a really good game of snooker and might even win, but as for a hiding? Not a chance.
