Quady on energy prices, if wind is cheaper why is the UK the highest energy in the G7? It makes no sense, shouldn't we be cheaper than the USA using mainly coal/gas/oil? Our industrial energy is more than four times theirs. That's why we can't make steel for example (or anything else) and one of the main reasons this country is absolutely finished. Imagine a war starting and we're unable to make our own primary steel!

You had it explained to you by somebody who works in the industry and you still cannot grasp it. New wind is bid for at auctions and underpinned by the price of gas. Why do they do this? Because otherwise nobody would stump up the massive costs to get hardly any profit back. They even had to go 50% over gas price last time to get any takers.

Why not just let them bid freely and have really, really cheap wind? The answer is obvious to somebody with a functioning brain.
