Some things you can add meaningfully, and some you cannot, and some are semi-additive such as monthly inventory count for example which is additive across months but obviously not any other timeframe.

Temperature is NOT additive. The concept of a global mean temperature literally has no meaning. You can add up a million temperature readings and divide them by a million, or indeed apply any other type of average that you wish. The result is meaningless. The "Earth" is not 22.5C for example.

My London-Aberdeen example explains this perfectly. Taking any number of readings at any number of places and trying to apply a mean is absolutely pointless. That, and the allegation that man-made CO2 (though curiously not the 97% of the CO2 that is natural) are the two stupendously absurd arguments that drive the whole Net Zero ideology/cult

Temperature is an intensive property. Intensive properties are not additive (that means you can't add them together to make anything meaningful), so you cannot add them and cannot take an average. Therefore the concept of an average temperature is meaningless.

If it is 20C in London and 0C is Aberdeen, does that mean it is therefore 10C at the midpoint in Wetherby?

If I have a bucket of cool water at 10C and I throw in a thimble of boiling tea at 100C, what is the temperature? 110C? 55C?

Temperature readings do not record local phenomenon like landing aircraft, vast air mass. Has a dense woodland grown near your thermometer?

Took me a while to find it because they've removed it. There used to be a Sensitivity Analysis which showed the increase/decrease in NPV of the project based on the movement of copper and gold price and the discount rate applied. It only went +30% but we can extrapolate.
