No mention role of interferon but highlights antivirus and virus enhancement of IFITM 3
None the wiser so I leave it there much more research required in this specific field.I am sure our world respiratory virus experts are aware of this ongoing research

Back last year it was said that beta interferon was responsible for inducing cytokine storms, but is now we have shown its safe and very much has an opposite anti inflammatory effect. If you look back on the references in this IFITMs article this find is not entirely new others studies have found similar results and evidence for FITMs have both antiviral effect and promoting viral replication so its not conclusive imo

these are in vitro studies and the interplay of interferons on IFIMs 1, 2 and 3 are mind boggling as matml point outs in vivo we have the empirical and clinical evidence that sng001 works

This article is an in vitro study and the finding of IFITMs were unexpected promoting virus infection rather than an antiviral activity when induced by interferon(s ) I will read again as I am confused but I do not think it warrants anything to be concerned about imo

I been asking that question from day one and always felt it was a weakness in the vaccination policy especially for the most vulnerable people it was meant to protect,but they seemed to ignored the science and our treatment regardless .ATB

Endless good Scientific evidence of the role of interferon on severe disease .If an individual as a blunted innate interferon response and is double vaccinated would they acquire adequate protection through vaccination or not ?

I understand there other biomarkers including genetic (disease prognosis due to interferon deficiency i.e. defective genes ) other than breathlessness

Disappointing that you infer Sng001 might not prevent hospitalisation and ease the burden on NHS as I thought this was a key advantage of the drug being administered at home. Also coupled with the Delta virus not shown breathlessness as a an early symptom perhaps that is why RM is a more down beat .However given the greater transmissibility and infectiousness of Delta will this make theme rethink the use of Home treatment .Is this why things are taken longer on Activ 2 ?

You make a very good point SG016 completed in 15 weeks .I am getting very frustrated thinking that the treatment might not be available in the Autumn as this was going to be a chance to showcase the treatment against all circulating respiratory viruses .It seems now Autumn booster jabs will do the job .Also all this confusion on trial completion dates is frustrating and we desperately need an update at least on clarification on progress

Very perplexed why the haven't done the in vitro on the Delta as they must have demonstrated it works in trials in India Trials months ago .What is holding back this information? I understand that the Delta virus does not present early symptoms of breathlessness ,where severe breathlessness in the HT patients were treated and hospitalisation prevented
