Snowdonia national park authority have recently been turned down by nrw to fit a concrete culvert as part of floodbank repair somewhere between Barmouth and Bontddu, apparently they didn’t prove it wouldn’t have an adverse affect on the salt marshes, sounds very familiar!
My questions now are firstly have alba resubmitted in the first half of September when they said they had planned to? Nothing is showing on the public register but then maybe it doesn’t have to, we can only speculate.
Secondly once it is resubmitted how much of the original process do they go through? When an application is made other organisations are invited to comment and given 28 days to reply, is this the same again? Answers I think Alba probably know but seem reluctant to part with.

Getting the MP’s and local councillors in for a tour last week was a shrewd move.

The warrants expire on the 4th of September which is the most likely reason they were exercised. £20k is better than a kick in the nuts and will keep them in tea and biscuits for a few months.
I’ve submitted a couple of questions for the q and a regarding the gold mines.

Divermike, seemed to me like a difficult area to mine commercially, the access compared to scotgolds cononish mine is very different. I didn’t see anybody but there was a bat monitoring device in place by one entrance and someone had been cracking open rocks on one of the waste tips.

I followed the path up the east side of Clogau the weekend before last and then over the top and down into bontddu, trail markers are a bit vague in places!

It’s a bit annoying that nothing shows up on the register after October last year, if you type Bontddu into the search you get an extra couple of files but nothing significant. The vox market q and a video from last month is worth a look as gf gives an update on dewatering . I don’t think there is any other info out there.

In the recent q and a interview GF said they had to do more bat survey work which would take place in June and July as well as updating the submission.
