Sgz often pops up on the alba board, I think there’s a few of us invested here, it’s a very different beast to sgz . I often wonder if they’re just polishing up the welsh mine just to sell on but I still think it’s worth a punt. Reckon I’ve missed the boat with ggp but giving thor a go as I like the name!
As for sgz this is my tenth year, so after placings, consolidation and numerous drive bys shouting ‘look kids there’s our gold mine’ we’ve had to deal with covid and from what I can tell inexplicably digging in the wrong place. Rest assured those responsible have been sacked, the people responsible for sacking the people have also been sacked. All this falls into insignificance in light of the toilet door falling off, for which we eagerly await news.
Small rise in sp gives me hope a little bit of good news has slipped out, the sun is shining and bank holiday means Rio Bravo and Zulu will probably been on tv, doesn’t get any better than that.

I hear the Ambriel English reserve is particularly good! I’ve not had alcohol for over 4 years and the only things I miss are a cold shandy and my occasional bottle of Blair atholl.
I can’t picture the Romans’ in Britain with thinking of the carry on team eating banana peels!

Perhaps one day sgz , alba, Anglesey and erris if they actually do float will merge to form uk gold consolidated and become a blue chip......

I see what you mean about the large corrections yesterday and today Rockhead, impressive! I think I’ve come to the conclusion that the abacus is conveniently broken and that’s the way it will stay!
I think alba will need to show something shiny fairly urgently or they may be joining my Bradford and bingley shares in the lost world.

Is unknown recorded because the trade is exactly on the midpoint? What’s the theory behind the 17 small trades all at 8:55?
I have a small holding in alba , reading and watching the current turbulence over there is bizarrely making things at sgz seem luvvly jubbly!

Greenland has been discussed a fair bit lately and popped up on several different boards today, be interesting to see if it makes an impact on Alba’s sp.
Also be interesting to see if there’s a rise in bed and isa tomorrow and if it will play silly buggers with sgz sp!h

I think you’re along the right lines, the phrase ‘still expect bedding in problems’ is disconcerting on the face of it but I like to see it as giving themselves some breathing space, under promise, over deliver.
Ive been in for 10 years and it’s painfully frustrating . In all honesty I was expecting them to say we need to scrap the plant and start again! It’s not all bad as others have pointed out and a placing is better than pulling the plug. Will still hold long term

Update from Erris gold today, not read it yet. There was another rns from alba earlier in the week concerning welsh gold but I got bored reading it.
Sad to hear about Ian St. John passing away, loved that he was a boxer before being a footballer, they don’t make them like him anymore.

If you buy below the mid point of the spread the system sometimes records it as a sell, the opposite can happen too. I don’t really understand it but I think it’s to do with smaller capital companies and outdated computers. My buy didn’t even show up today

As I understand it the tailings are dry stacked which makes it much easier for nature to grass over and reclaim the mine once mining has ceased, which is important in such an environmentally sensitive area. So I’m assuming are not sold on to construction

Elsewhere it’s been interesting watching alba bounce around like a yo yo on the back of positive rns. I’ve bought in for the long term, mainly as I like being involved with gold mines places I love to walk!
Beaver reintroduction this week has spread as far as Dorset which splits the country more than brexit.
Also my neighbour says silver is £4000 an ounce now and his weather manipulation machine is pulling up warm weather from the south. Strange chap!

I’m researching alba myself, can’t really comment on the company yet but I do know Dolgellau well. It’s a very steep sided wooded mountainous area with beautiful rivers where my kids have found huge amounts of perlite over the years much to their delight! I thought the area had effectively been mined out in the old days but this appears to not be the case. The existence of proven mines in the area and modern day exploration techniques makes it seem quite promising to me. I would say access will be trickier than cononish but not a deal breaker. Gold mining has come a long way since boiling mercury but it’s still just as crazy! I’ll be interested to see what people have to say about the company itself. Also keeping an eye on erris when they list.

It’s feeling all a bit Todd Hoffman today!
I think it really shows the need for more regular and honest communication then perhaps such dismay could be avoided. Still planning to hold long term and the sp hasn’t dropped nearly as far as expected first thing.
Interesting thought on conveyor belt into the plant, I thought they were just used on the tailings?

The covid hoax brigade are in overdrive at the moment, my neighbour was secretly given 24 hours notice that all media was going to be shut down on the 20th and soldiers would be running through the country taking out all the baddies for the next ten days, he’s literally gone into hiding with his family. It’s actually quite scary to how much people are convinced by conspiracy theories .
Looking forward to Friday, the most eagerly anticipated agm for quite some time!
