Developments from novyact are coming through thick and fast, yet we seem now to expect a RNS every week, I think expectation management needs to be exercised by PI's
Novyact are so far ahead of the curve here.
Unless you are shorting this stock or a day trader, just take a breath, reflect on what we know rather than all the opinions expressed on here.
There are so many factors in play here beyond the control of Novyact. Things are progressing, maybe not at the speed the market would like but they are moving forwards.
Personally, I'm happy with where we are right now. Let GM etc al just get on with their jobs. Solid company, global market, innovative products and extremely agile.
Sit tight and let it play out, this is a long game.

Patience, its happening. Validation at each lab takes a little time, things are moving forward, everyone is busy dealing with the day2day stuff too

Look to who knows the most about these shares, the company, what are they doing.

They are ramping up capacity and capability significantly
They are continuing to innovate and bring new products to market.
The CEO is taking the opportunity to invest in the company significantly when he can

Institutional investors are increasing their holdings

Its got a product in high demand
Its a global market
Testing will be required for the long term.

So ignore the day to day fluctuations
Treat most of the posts on this board as noise, I include my own posts in this statement.

Novacyt is a global product in high demand and from recent events will continue to be in high demand for the foreseeable.
Its also developing non covid products adding to its repetoire.
Its also providing an effective platform that can be used away from mainstream labs. Think cholera outbreaks in sub Sahara Africa or the like, so it could be a game changer for the point of delivery for high sensitivity/ specificity testing.
Decentralised testing. Ebola outbreaks etc.

Rapid accurate diagnosis is key in limiting the spread of epidemics.

Novyact have shown they can develop appropriate kits for testing in very short order.
So the potential is rather large and they are playing in a market worth many times that of a card manufacturer.
Moonpig shares are circ £4 now, so I'm not sure I'd agree that its overvalued

You're right it won't go away, but when the virus is in the population in the numbers it is, its churning out masses of variants as it passes through each person, so the liklihood of variants increases.
Spanish flu appears to have mutated itself into something harmless and burned itself out, the same could happen with Covid but covid isn't a flu virus, its a coronavirus from the same family that gives us the common cold,so its a completely different beast and hasn't been studied in anywhere near the detail that influenza has, so lots of unknowns.

The SA variant is out in the wild now, I suspect this is too little too late. Cases identified all over the country with no clear link to South African travel. There is a chain of infection already out in the community. IIRC the SA variant has the same mutations as the Kent variant making more transmissible and additional mutations that make it more resistant to vaccination, perfect storm, the Gov were warned months ago about this threat and chose to do nothing, again.
We carry on like this and its going to take forever to get out of this.
Longer covid sticks around means more and more mutations and its almost impossible to predict what effects they will have.

They need to increase the number of field specialists to get this out there and working, its needed now more than ever, ~I'm talking about what the country needs not necessarily whats good for shareholders, but i'll take a win win thanks :)

Cycle time for promate is 62 minutes but time is taken to prep 30 samples for each run. Add 30 to 40 mins for this so say 2hrs for 30 samples per machine.
So now we are doing surge testing to try to get on top of this SA variant.
Having portable systems deployed in the field that can give results in a couple of hours is going to be essential. If only there was a company we knew of with this capability...
Wouldn't surprise me if we get another RNS regarding new contract specifically for this Surge testing.
As a country we are not in a good place wrt Covid

As I was saying, OK got the name wrong but the product right.
Perfect timing from Novyact, wonder how many more developments they have up their sleeve.
This company has got bags of potential.
I bought in to try make a quick buck, did more research now here for the long haul, already watched a 30% profit come and go.
Be patient,don't expect miracles with this stock overnight, play the long game if you can

I've been trying to find out but not had much success to date.
I think the whole versalab thing has been largely overlooked.
These are the ideal platform for testing in a variety of scenarios, major travel hubs for example.
If I remember think Gatwick has one already. Not the only players thou I believe Roche have a similar thing at Liverpool Airport.
Large workplaces too, business is going to be all over this, 1 member of staff infected could take out a whole department thru self isolating.
I think with the SA variant arriving we will see a renewed vigour with testing, for reasons I won't bore ppl with but I suspect we're not out of this by any means.

Just a quick note. The q machines aren't just switched on and immediately running at full capacity.
There's validation and training required plus UKAS accreditation at some point. I've seen a few posts trying to work out what the capacity of q32 testing is now.
Promate hasn't been fully distributed yet but the roll out is underway, then the staff have to find the time to implement them.
It will get implemented and testing will increase but it won't happen overnight.
This is beyond the control of Novyact but its moving along now, patience is required.

I think some should learn the value of patience. The news will flow in good time, not to investors timetables but after due diligence by a company that has the right priorities.
If new tests are rolled out prematurely and fail that would cause irreparable harm to both patients and the company. Chill out

Not wishing to spread fear but the current pandemic could be as bad as what's been suggested. It's a perfect storm It's transmission has increased, infected ppl can spread the virus for at least 2 weeks before showing any symptoms and are spreading the virus during this time, some show none.
The longer this virus is in the population the more likely mutations will occur. It's already changed to make it more transmissible and there's some early info that suggests its more pathogenic.
It could easily mutate again and its pathogenicity could change dramatically, the Spanish flu is a precedent for what could happen.
We are playing with fire here

Probably, but given the paucity of info being shared with investors, nothing would surprise me anymore.
I've decided after fully researching the company and its potential to stay for the long haul. I originally invested about 3 weeks ago but given the potential decided to hold. Lots of future potential in the right areas.
