What most of the visible short positions on ITV probably are should not be a secret to anyone. Our local trolls who also play on short positions are of course interested in their negative presentation for the ITV share price. However, for those interested and thinking, I suggest to trace who, when and at what price levels of ITV shares opened these positions. To convince that someone has been holding them at a loss for over a year, often gradually increasing engagement is really like looking for more stupid people than yourself on this forum. Because the rules on this market are rather common and clear, and no one makes a short position a long-term investment, especially for most positions currently bringing losses or close to zero. Because of that on the other hand, it is worth following who is on the list with the largest shorts positions - and in this context, what similar investments in other companies looked like and how they ended, both for the value of shares of shorted companies and for the financial results of the companies that opened them. It is often clearly visible that they were the basis for the increase in share prices that also brought profits for the holders of short positions. However, everyone should answer for themselves what their probable scale is. Of course, trolls or players playing on this forum for shorts know better, as always.

In my opinion, if you do not believe in the potential of ITV, simply do not invest in its shares and leave this forum...or play shorts to feel power of your money.

You right about Liberty, but we need remember that it was in different world and average ITV share's prise was over £2. Now STUDIO is much valuable part of this company streaming business hit hard ITV... but still made a money. Moreover, in accordance with the changes in the economic cycle, for the next 3-4 years the entire segment of ITV's activity should significantly exceed the market average for the entire economy in terms of profitability, several times over. None of the investors turn their heads away from the money lying on the street.

I am not sure if I am right, but today at around 73.75 we have a buyer systematically and gently accumulating ITV shares. We will see what this brings us at the end of the day and in the coming week.

The closing price of 73.60 pence means a nominal increase in the ITV share price (from 61.86 pence at the end of 2023) of 11.74 pence. This is an increase of 18.98%. As for myself with my average 67.3485 per share, for the whole 423300 ITV shares held means 6.26 pence of profit. If we check the digits £2.7k profits looking possible not to good but it's also mean that is much better like over £2.3k losses at the end of 2023. But my average ITV shares price included reinvested dividends. And this is on top of the £16.5k only in 2024 (about £21.5k in total) that has already flowed into my wallet from ITV divi. So in total in 2024, over £19.2k has already been partially realized this year and not just "paper" profit. About 8.5% annual return from my all invested capital. This is I think that I have no reason to complain.

My hopes and predictions of closing price ITV in the price range £1.2-£1.50 didn't work out. But I am still optimistic and let's wait a few months to see how wrong I was.

To all those "concerned" silence from my side I conveys joyful news. I am alive!! :) I have two weeks of holiday and although I am far from religious or religious - tradition is tradition. The last closing price we had at 72.70 now. For a long-term investment (with dividend) this means 15.84 pence profit per share, or about 25.6%. I think this is quite a good result. With my average for the whole of 67.3485 and 423300 ITV shares held, I also have no reason to complain, because the rate of return is around 5.4%. This is much better than last year's "paper" losses of over 14.8%. However, as I always say. I calculate losses or profits after the investment is completely closed, and in the case of ITV I am interested in the price level of at least £2. Optimist??? Merry Christmas. Back to the kitchen.
