RE: “Time To Go Long … ITV”2 Nov 2024 13:08
BigEgo thanks.
Always Patience when we are talking about any investment, especially about ITV shares.
I have my long time ITV shares price forecast, which I presented lots of times , £1.2 -1.5 at the end 2024, £2-3.00 at the end of 2025. These predictions did not come from nowhere, but from a specific analysis of both ITV and similar companies. However, these are always just predictions, which in my opinion have at least a 75% chance of coming true if we only take a small correction for the period (because any possible shifts here are somehow independent of the companies themselves). The stock market depends on the entire political and economic environment, and these can accelerate or delay certain processes that have a specific impact on the finances of companies and, consequently, the valuation of their shares. However, this does not change either the specific positive direction of financial changes or the estimates of the under valuation of shares in this case of ITV. In my opinion based only on the current financial data flowing from the company and the conducted own share buyback or the level of dividend ITV share price should currently oscillate in the range of £1.00-1.20. This valuation does not include forecasts for both the last quarter and the entire next year. I believe that the market as such has forgotten about this segment of investment. And as it has done many times before, when it remembers, then the valuations of shares of the entire sector in Europe will go up significantly, reaching similar indicators (for example P/E at the level of 15-25 as a standard). And this means that although I may be overly optimistic about the time of the price change, in the end a shift in the increase in valuations from 3 to 6 months will lead to the valuation of ITV in the range of £1.5-2.5. Moreover, I believe that with the growing interest in this segment of the market from large investors, speculations about takeovers will return. And consolidation around the largest players. And here the dispersion of shares, the structure of the shareholding, free float, and above all the dominant position of ITV on the British market make such interest in the takeover very likely. This is what I have mentioned before, a topic ridiculed by our local trolls, sometimes brought up as news to boost mood or the current ITV share price. I think this topic will come back though, and with all the takeover issues in mind I think a realistic valuation of £2.50-3.50 per share will become a reality. It all depends on when the potential offer comes and who makes it. I see at least 3-4 potential very good players in this field representing only a similar sector of activity, but financial investors would probably also come into play. Regardless ..........
