As for myself we are talking about 14.5 to 16 millions, depending of the market price. In totat that should be about 320 millions of the ITV shares - 8% of the share's capital. Thus is a very good news for all existing ITV shareholders.

As for how this should affect speculative short positions (but not those hedging positions on purchased and held in portfolios ITV shares), we are of the same opinion. I will pass over the rest.

Seeing the movement in the ITV share price today, it's nice to see someone is getting hot and bothered.

Personally, with my short-term purchase of 4k shares (bringing profit from 70.90) I will definitely refrain from selling.

This is a multiple accounts russian troll Tom list, together with other trolls and nicks who lie trying to influence the emotions of participants, most often betting on opposing positions of the market. The level of their knowledge and skills, along with the rudeness seeping from their statements, allows me to recommend blocking these profiles with a clear conscience. But is my opinion and everyone makes their own decisions.

One more thing. I suggest to anyone following this forum or to people who just happen to come here not to be influenced by the suggestions of others who insert their words and their - troll point of view and interpretation of someone else's post. I suggest reading the author's posts, which will allow everyone to quickly form an opinion on the level of knowledge of their author, his intentions or approach to ITV. It will also probably allow you to quickly fill in FILTERS on this forum what I recommend for everyone.

Out of the last 26 posts, 13 were filtered. And this once again speaks volumes about the scale of trolling on this discussion group.

As for the buyback, predictions that the whole process would be completed by the end of January or early February have practically come true. I'm just wondering what's going on with the previously accrued dividend from the shares purchased but not redeemed - will it go to the buyback or will it support ITV's finances? Another thing is that there are still no signs of several dozen million shares sold by major shareholders in order to equalize the previous limits in the share capital. I have already expressed my opinion on this subject, as well as my opinion on what will happen to the share price when the buyback, which fueled their supply for shorts, expires.

I also believe that a takeover or division of ITV in today's market conditions is highly probable. I think that we currently have over 60% chance that such decisions will be announced in the next six months. I also believe that after the first moves in this matter, a group of at least 5-6 potential competitors will be revealed to us and the potential valuation of ITV shares will start from the level of around 90-95 pence. Acceptable for large shareholders (if they are not the ones who take over ITV shares) is around £2 together with a possible, beneficial for them division of the company. For small shareholders this probably means a turbulent period and a difficult decision at what point to sell shares. From the political side I do not expect the transaction to be blocked. I have already explained the reasons.

Seeing filtered posts... it's always nice to stick a stick into the anthill and show the finger to the local trolls

I bought 4k ITV at about 70.52. I do it just for the fun. To get my money back, it need to be sold over 70.92. As I said - not for the profit, and this time not as a long term investment ( I expect biggest sum about 15th February), just it made for the fun and to confirm my meaning about the market and ITV shares. Something that lots of trolls nit understand. I tell you when I get my extra profits.

This whole carousel with the price today shows once again how shallow the supply of shares is in this market and how easy it is to manipulate the current share valuation. All until a bigger player comes along and slaps on the aqqqsses those who consider themselves both today and here to be the sharks of the financial market and ITV shares.

The current price is of course not 71.35 but already 70.90

It looks like my Wednesday technical forecast of the ITV share closing price on Friday at 71.75 has a similar if not at least greater chance of being realized as yesterday's and less optimistic one at 71.40. Let me remind you that both were given on a falling market of ITV share prices. I greet our trolls playing in short positions. I hope they are still in positions and opening new ones. At the same time, I suggest to all trolls spamming my post - game or rather challenge, to "kiss my a.... ss", through a piece of paper, because pleasure has to be earned (as the quote from a famous comedy from the country I come from says)...

The only positive thing about today's session is finally the greater supply generated on the market, because since Monday, the turnover on the ITV share market has been really poor. However, as you can see from the share price, this additional ITV shares quantity also generated additional demand for the shares (probably like yesterday, mostly from the buyback side). In my opinion, small short players are trying to make something here. However, at this price level, their chances are not very big, but maybe these short positions contribute to a more rapid market rebound, where most of the supply is actually created by short positions and not a real sell-off. As usual, time will tell.

Being still optimistic, I bet only 71.40 for tomorrow's close

It seems that my yesterday's optimism was clearly exaggerated. The only positive thing about it is that I can correct today my approach to the closing price on Friday. Unfortunately, that is the only positive thing which I can see. I am waiting for the buyback to end. We will see then whether my earlier predictions were accurate. Unfortunately, demand at the session in the range of £1.5 million is not a good predictor. I am slowly getting more and more tired of this situation.
