Unfortunately, most of you are holding Wizzair shares and are simply holding onto wishful thinking. In reality, the future of the situation in Iran is unpredictable. There's practically no opposition in the country, which, coupled with the existing caste built on the power of state terror based on religious dogma, practically rules out the possibility of a democratic ruling entity emerging. In the background, we have the descendants of the corrupt pre-coup regime, eager to return to power through Trump. However, will the Iranian public accept a new government imposed by Israel and the US, led by another monarch? I doubt it. If not, it means months of internal struggle for dominance, externally imposed controls on whole oil industry - production, distribution and sales, external attempts to control the military industry, and the activities of the Israeli secret service which will try to physically eliminate scientists linked to the Iranian nuclear program, as well as senior military officials and those directly planning previous attacks on Israel. And this is what awaits us in the future. Forming a new government will be a long process and will have to involve the least radical members of the ruling class of the fallen regime, as well as the military. Only this will guarantee a relatively lasting peace. But will this restore the principles, lifestyle, and freedoms from before the current regime, bearing in mind that the Shah of Iran also had his hands stained with the blood of his people? The understanding of freedom and democracy in that region is completely different from that in Europe. Khamenei was only the "head of Medusa". One of many. Many of the others have nothing to lose, really. We also have many people here who have been indoctrinated for years with religious hatred, hatred of the USA, Israel and everything Western. The attempt to impose democracy, as envisioned by Trump and Netanyahu, guarantees, in my opinion, further years of unrest across the region, another bloody dictatorship inflicted on the Iranian people. We'll be watching the outcome for the next few years. I hope that all personal freedoms will be restored, cultural and social religious indoctrination will be abolished, and freedom of expression and opinion, including religious ones, will be guaranteed. If, in addition, economic revenues are shared wisely, so that the majority of oil revenues go to the state treasury and not to another puppet regime or the pockets of large corporations, then we have a chance for lasting peace throughout the region. That's all we can wish for the Iranians. Regarding Wizzair, I reiterate my concerns about the international repercussions of the current situation. I'm thinking about the threat of terrorism, rising oil prices, further confusion regarding new barriers to international trade, political repercussions from Iranian proxies, and so on. This won't disappear in a week. We're facing significant volatility (...)
