Agree Boombang. AIM listing is a problem and while I dont blame management for not taking low ball offers selling the company short (Id bet the largest shareholder had more to do with it anyhwo) there should be more on what is next and path to get the value in line with other companies in the industry. IMO / DYOR

It does not take much detective work to see that management are probably not the main drivers of the SR or the outcome decision.

Day to day management have been doing a good job continuing to build the company no easy task. Its more likely the largest long term shareholder his driving much of the SR and outcome decision and he is not known for taking a low ball deal.

Adding to that Im doubtful given the background of the chairman and his regular purchasing /averaging that he is a rush to sell too low either.

although more communication on the growth strategy from here would be good. IMO DYOR

Whose in loss beermunt? Many longterm holders will have far lower average. The one good thing about the AIM silliness is plenty of opportunity to get a low average over the years. The chairman buying again is a clear signal they still expect a good outcome at some point.

The outcome is not surprising. The company is performing well and does not need to sell. The largest shareholders who carryweight dont need to sell. the sale price target of £13 is up in lights. All the company needs to do is keep growing as it clearly is and sooner or later thetarget and the offer will meet. The share price is subject to the AIM nonsense, not the company quality or reality which as stated is offers above the 5.40 price. AIM is holding it back so a move to US markets would perhaps be a welcome strategic solution. IMO DYOR

It looks far more efficient and with growth potential than ACAST? Not to mention Audioboom does not need to sell, the brokers long term share price target which may indicate the price management would consider is £13/$17 (2.26x current share price). Numbers are expected to grow further. It is in a Strategic review and the indications are it is being looked at closely for a cash buyout.

Not to mention the price is hovering close to 6.50 and a 100% premium is well, £13. Any improvement in the sp makes the £13 more likely IMHO, DYOR

Given the strong continued performance AB is not a distressed seller. It does not 'need' to sell. The broker target is £13 so logically given the company does not need to sell and the profile of the largest shareholders cant see this going for less than £13. IMO DYOR

Gains may have his own view but if you do the research you will find that AIM companies can sell for 100% or more of their share price. Given AB usually announces something by now for updates and is in a strategic review, if the price is at say £6 then a premium buyout offer of £12 seems likely or rather £13 given that is the broker note. IMO DYOR

As much as I generally agree with your posts Bigshow I have suspected you are zacky or one of the crew. Your response doesnt make me think otherwise. like zacky and alder you don't like it when I call BS.

This forum is plagued as is AIM.

The company is solid, continues to deliver on promises and will at some point be realised. The company is not the share and the share is not the company.

The buyers mentioned in the articles will buy to add the content deals, ad tech and $80m and growing revenue line to their existing podcast business and to keep growing and being competitive in a growing market. The sum of the parts will also mean growth as the ad tech can be utilised across their book generating more revenue. Growth companies in media and tech are bought all the time at significant multiples without any profit for exactly these reasons. The cost centre changes drastically or is swallowed into the giant on buyout.
