RE: Audioboom v ACAST4 May 2026 22:03
Any serious buyer still has to go through full due diligence — digging into the books, validating forecasts, checking liabilities, reviewing contracts etc etc. That process always takes time, even when headline figures are already public.
A buyout isn’t off the table just because it hasn’t landed quickly. These things often move in phases: initial interest, NDA, data‑room access, deeper financial and legal checks, then negotiation on valuation. If multiple parties are involved, it slows things even more.
That said, the board can’t leave shareholders in limbo indefinitely. I agree, at some point they do need to update the market with a clear RNS, even if it’s just to confirm where the process stands. Not long left.
For now, it’s simply a case of due diligence still needing to run its course — nothing more, nothing less.
