Late reply Bays , but am encouraged by the director buy yesterday even though it was only 50k but should imply the news and current strategy won’t be detrimental to the share price. Hopefully others will follow…just want Tolmount on line to prove that the nee management have operations under control. Acquisitions sure to follow , more likely from the majors but still a few stragglers in the nSea who want out . Odds more likely to see an announcement before capital markets day now the finances are under control imo. Need to silence the critics!

Apart from Gas been driving the middle distillate margin as the oil to gas switching takes place driving up the refining margin and pushing up crude runs (although hindered by expensive gas and lack of hydrogen) , but more mid term fundamentals, rather than the day trade, a bit like the Iran nonsense. Sell the rumour, buy the fact on OPEC this time…spin the wheel as you say and roll on that tolmount update, and am not too superstitious about if you know what I mean Jeff?

Bays, all a bit c rap but without any news flow from the mothership , they (likely only one person with multiple personalities) have free rein to try and influence the board with assertion and repetition. But the world is currently short energy so the rewards are there for the brave. Iran maybe Biden's saviour in an ironic way, but already producing over 2 mm bpd and an extra 1 hardly touches the sides and that’s a big IF , as the talks are still not set in stone. Putin will re-gas Europe but at a price and possibly a bit late to stop some of the switching of gas to oil. OPEC will remain cautious and want the world to get used to a higher base price; with all the rhetoric of $100 , anything less may seem like a bonus to the non opecians. In the short term US infrastructure bill about to be passed providing an instant shot in the arm. Dips still getting bought and the free money gets moved through the system. Inflation needs a hedge…The majors are dogged by rogue investors and the ESG mob….HBR just needs some news flow to shut the day traders up and reset the base price expectations of the market. Let’s see what the DOEs bring this afternoon but the crude sell off today looks a bit overdone on mild api product builds and lowest stocks since 2018 in Cushing…and let’s not forget those 4th round teapot allocations…Diesel rationing in some parts of China…the refinery runs have been constrained for too many months. Rongsheng runs at 800kbd…Plays right into OPECs hands. Russia won’t have completed domestic gas refill til November so no cure all pill for Nat Gas. HBR still a learning curve and as always not for the faint hearted or those easily shaken by the agendas of Others… oil low looks in for the day, even though it didn’t quite get to the bottom of the ascending channel…good luck
