Really need to get a close above that 50 d MA at 374.50 to regain the bullish momentum charts. The 200d sits above at 379 snd the 2 are converging by 1 point a day, so this time next week we will have a golden cross. Interesting to see if any machines start to preposition ahead of the inevitable crossover or wait for the close above the 50d…

Not in this government’s plans. Better to open up more drilling licences snd collect the revenue that way and put the greens on hold…

Don’t disagree Polemic, oil length and roll the backwardation each month a great trade currently and an inflation hedge. Just like a bit more pure upstream exposure in the portfolio with plenty of gas exposure as gas trading not for faint hearted , nor the oil price volatility. Thursday looking really tough…not….oil fundamentals and technicals are properly in line now , making me more bullish than Jeff Currie. Looking to take out That 86.74 high in relatively short period of time. Kazakstan a tinder box and likely yet another country not able to make their output target or increase production any time soon. China will stay open for business ahead of the olympics and Europe will quickly rebound…FED have plenty of time to change their minds. Money needs to work hard to fight inflation..follow the trend …Good Luck all…and don’t forget that gas price and Putins master plan. Please can I have Tolmount on line in 3 weeks Linda? ;)

US oil equities on the charge this afternoon , even XOM up over 3%… money managers added oil length last week. Everybody needs an inflation hedge now that the omnicrom boomerang trajectory starts to develop. Should translate well into HBR tomorrow and those wanting exposure to a pure oil and gas play. Agree should be good finish to the year…Easy 20 points up to the 200d MA…? Gaps up Weds , close above 365 and up towards 400 as oil touches 80 again if the charts prove correct. Good Luck all

Just a thought but it’s a US holiday observed today, CME closed and West Texas Intermediate isn’t trading today? Could be wrong….

You’re right, risk/reward certainly to the upside unless the world goes into a full lockdown scenario, which is starting to look less likely, apart from the voluntary one we are currently under, which certainly denying the mobility demand, although that has to oil switching more than makes up for this loss and Europe needs to keep warm.

I don’t think it’s mm, think the banks have written options to allow some of the locked in entities a way of cashing their chips in ahead of time - possibly similar to the Glen IPO . This could be related to these large chunks of portfolio trades imo. But whoever it is, they have plenty of Delta to cover back should this blow and they’ll need to buy back the underlying stock they sold vs those pseudo puts. Just remember how much they sold on the way down lin those 3 capitulation sessions. Unenviable task ahead if my thoughts are right with the current liquidity and especially the week before Xmas . classic feedback loop develops as you say , plus the added competition of institutions needing some skin in the game against the gas spike - Putin has Europe by the nethers. See somebody on #oott stole my line from this morning but nice to get hbr to a wider audience….exposure to a pure gas and oil play with less of the transition baggage…that gas to oil switching in full effect. Expecting some broker u turns on price targets and new director buys ? If they happy to buy at 400, 360 a bargain, with first chart target around 650. Possibly a bit of forward selling evident from the protected portfolio trades…but also not in their interest to lose money off loading it….gamma also works the other way as the market goes up…gas price is insane…good Luck all

France already having to resort to Fuel oil burn in power stations…this energy crunch not abating and this is only the start of winter. Libyan production outages and Ukraine tensions…Omicrom lockdowns about the only cure - certainly helped Bidens gas guzzlers. Gap still to close on the Br chart at 72.88

….plus the gas to oil switching that some analysts put at 1.5mmbpd extra oil demand. Time to close that 72.88 gap on Brent and get HBR back in to the 360s tomorrow. Strong finish to most markets

Libyan shutdowns and moderns 3rd dose efficacy certainly rebounding the markets quickly as well as letting the public lock themselves up rather than being ordered to. If deaths still remain low this week then this will blow over pretty quickly.Money still wants to buy the dips. 4 hour candlesticks as bullish as you get across most markets and oil regained 70 in a heartbeat. Sunday night gap to fill at 72.88. Ttf and nbp up another chunk, so frustrating they didn’t get that field on line. Good luck all

Very resilient …agree crude dip will get bought…also see institutional holdings are up another 1%. Somebody loves hbr although not drilled down into the holdings.

Inside day, key reversal Harami candlestick on hbr. Looking for an early trade buy. Powell still printing the cash. Gas price , both ttf and Nov still thru the roof and massive Chinese refinery runs in Nov as they try to avoid the diesel crunch ..dollar on the retreat. Tin hats off in the morning. Good Luck
