So...the UK govt have popped £5Bn to one side for tests. The Rockerfeller fellas in the US have recommended $75Bn = £57Bn, they suggest around 25m mass screening tests and in total about 30m tests per week. So, assuming a similar ratio in the UK that’s 25/30*£62Bn on speedy antigen mass screening = £51.7Bn.

What % market share do you think is reasonable?

For every little 1%, that’s £517m == just over £2.00/share of pure cash and that’s just for just a couple of countries. Oh my!

You need to have some more thoughts. It’s an antigen test. They have a USP as it’s freeze dried and this removes some steps. The low mcap gives them a decent chance if they finally get approvals sorted.

Very good cytiva product, bit late to the party as they’re trying to get in to a crowded PCR space, not sure what the approval delays are about. Worth a punt for Covid, nowt more. You’re never stuck, don’t be anxious, there is hope... Their hearing loss test looks good and should generate decent revenue that can justify the market cap.

Afternoon piggy, there are instances when you’ll want the result verified for example airports. You can scan the boarding pass, check their passport and get them to dribble on it there and then. There doesn’t have to be a tech solution and quite often that just opens it up to abuse as you’ve suggested. Otherwise, it relies on good faith. Everyone wants out of this mess so for mass screening you rely on people isolating properly. At the minute, if you’re tracked you’re asked to isolate, in future if you’re in that position you could have the option of a test to verify it, in both cases you rely on people doing it properly. Gazala posted nhs instructions for the trial of the antibody test. I reckon to get the test out quickly it’ll be something as simple as that. We’ll probably find the UK will be taking the lead due to Condor and lining the UK manufacturing up.

Evening YP, we’re a bit of a bunch of turkeys voting for xmas. If the test is a huge success then the r value will drop and fewer tests will be needed. We also don’t know how long these fun and games will last. I still think there’s a quite ridiculous pile of cash to be had (billions is not a stretch with healthy margins and enough supply), but I wouldn’t apply any multiplier, I’d just see it as a pile of cash.
