Same story, no doubt just a holding page. Who knows what might happen. Personally I’d rather they paid a premium and went with Abingdon as they know what they’re doing. Data, and especially personal info and health information isn’t something to be messed about with by a new company. We can’t take shortcuts on this one. I hope Sir Al is considering all options and potential reputational damage before chucking more business to his mates.

The emerging competition won’t have affimers. It depends on the success of Mina’s campaign to get the FDA to drop the bar. If they feel like they can get the best of all worlds with Awacta, they’ll be reluctant to. It all comes down to capacity to meet demand.

Awacta are expanding their manufacturing to produce the affimers, so we’ll supply in bulk to the numerous manufacturers. The manufacturers will all have the design and capability to produce tests. The manufacturers will then supply in bulk to whoever - govts, businesses and Medusa. Medusa then distribute direct to consumers. Once the supply chain is sorted, work will continue as Awacta will no doubt continue to negotiate orders and likely have to bring on additional manufacturers. I wouldn’t have too many concerns with delays due to the inconvenience of making £Bns
