What can I say? It’s a gift. If Skin does well, Awacta will benefit as those cheeky little affimers will be the magic ingredient in any solution that’s devised. Sleepy has the right idea, simply put your money where you think it’ll do well. If that’s more than one place great, but the likelihood is most will do well - particularly with some patience applied.

The sensitivity is poor, they had it designed months ago but they can’t get approval. It’s below 80%.

There’s an issue with swab tests in that they’re not properly administered and you have a greater number of false positives. This problem is very easily overcome in controlled environments. Simply head to the spit spot with your ID, dribble in a collection device and the test is administered by a professional.

Why? If that deal had been with any other distributor, the same would apply.

$145k for under 10k sites, so about $15 per site for affimers. Total global sites is 105k, so about $1.5m so $18m per year based on monthly replacement. Barely worth Sir Al getting out of bed for. But... airports, venues, hospitals, schools, etc. How many sites globally then? 2m? $340m per year. As a monitoring system, it feels more like recurring revenue, so apply a PE of 10, $3.4Bn?

Exactly right CS, a breathalyser would need bit of kit and would suit an airport etc. If the margins on the supply of affimers were as good, you’d be daft not to. So, we’d have affimers in an early warning sh.tty system, affimers at the hospital, affimers for mass screening and affimers in an instant gateway test. Not a bad combo...

I can imagine the challenges of a lack of concentrated virus in the air are overcome via a breathalyser. All makes sense. Now it sounds like early days and as you know, I’m not one for a cross ramp, but it looks like Skin have some exciting development plans.
