Completely agree. The combination of Integumen real time monitoring and, let’s say, a saliva based 10 min LFD is the perfect way to control the situation. Get the alert, test everyone in the area and quickly isolate them and the transmission chains are broken. That sorts all the local issues and the use of the LFDs where there are people congregating or travelling sorts the rest. Luckily I’m invested in both Avacta and Integumen :-)

A practical question though... what happens after an alert? As you’ve said, the RNA can persist for some time. When / how do you determine that an outbreak has passed? Will the system be quantitative allowing viral loads to be charted? Or do you allow some time to pass, focus on the individual testing using LFDs and reset after a period of time once the tests are clear? Would the affimers need replacing more frequently etc?

You can’t just grab them, you have to get consent and that takes time. So of the three options, it’s administration.

Nope, cytiva aren’t an LFD manufacturer. Also the FDA template requires details of the manufacturer so you can just chuck them prototypes and promise the next batch will be as good. Sir Al has made no reference to the FDA at all. Let’s get this on sale with a CE mark, save the UK from local lockdowns and then let Trump come begging and offer to help out on Nov 4th.

I bought some today, the cash I had lined up for a top up here went there. Your earlier post convinced me. I think you’re right, the sh.tty news is more likely to have a larger percentage impact there. Then I can have a bigger top up here :-)

Great find Matt, key takeaways in addition to the ones you mentioned are that they’re sat somewhere below 80% and are relying on the FDA to lower standards. As I’ve said before, why would the FDA does this if they know they can be passed by Sona and Awacta? Secondly, it’s poor quality and he said that’s the final design. The liquid will have sloshed all over the tube, I wonder how it performs in an untrained users hands when liquid will be wicking on the strip at the top and bottom.

I believe we’ve still got a very healthy lead on the competition as we bomb around the corner on to the final straight. Our professionally manufactured saliva test designed by global experts that will hopefully meet the high performance criteria still looks like the only world class world beater.

It’s fine for what it is. Small businesses such as theatres that want to test can do so... Using swabs so sampling will be an issue. I’d imagine once a more convenient saliva based test arrives, something like this won’t be used.
