Why is there a desire to be mentioned in the media at the minute? There’s no story. They’re reporting on what the govt are saying and they’re remaining tight lipped as they’ve said they won’t comment on tests that aren’t validated. Meanwhile you have the CMO and deputies saying it’s possible and there are tests that fit the bill being validated. Joe Public isn’t going to pick up a paper that says Awacta in the article anymore than any other test developer they’ve never heard of. It’s a detail that no one, apart from investors, would find interesting. Whilst the govt aren’t letting anything slip there’s no need for a journalist to take an educated guess, even if it’s obvious.

Pretty sure we knew the affimers worked way back when Awacta selected them and told us they did

Given Boris is talking about demand of 65m a day, it makes little difference if another test turns up tomorrow, much in the same way a 20 second test turned up today. Awacta will sell everything they can possibly produce, currently in the millions per month. We need to get to the millions per day

Matt Handjob has previously said in interviews that they’ll only name tests that they’ve evaluated. I’m quite comfortable with Awacta being able to get on with it without media harassment. Other tests the govt have evaluated popped out of nowhere, there’s no reason why Awacta will be any different

Not a fan of the NDA conspiracy. It’s just not that much of a story, govt says they’re planning on using pregnancy style tests that aren’t validated yet and here’s a company that’s in that process. It’s not exactly a huge expose. The govt will reference Awacta when it’s ready to go and the papers will report it then.

It’s not high throughout, several hundred a day per piece of expensive kit isn’t going to make a dent in the millions that travel unless you have a hangar full of expensive machines and operators which isn’t cost effective. I still think they’ll test on arrival with follow up LFD tests, if they remain negative you don’t need to quarantine, simples.
