Incidentally, the first LFD on there is listed as saliva, but I can’t find any reference to a saliva test by that company, but loads of references to a swab test that is being used in India.

I’m not sure why there would be a revenue share. The previous RNS just described a deal for the supply of affimers. I’m not sure it’d ever be fitted at individual households. I can see something reasonably local enough to make an alert actionable. Certainly useful at universities, care homes, large workplaces. Then the above ground system... I see that best for mass gatherings which will open up venues. The perfect combo for me would be DVRGs sh.tty test for monitoring, Awacta’s LFD for screening/tactical responses, BAMS for POC/hospitals and DVRGs new magic breath thingamajig for mass gatherings.

Agree TL. What about the conspiracy theorists that don’t want a govt app or poor old Mrs Miggins who can’t use a smartphone due to her arthritis, the take up of an app is likely to be as challenging as a vaccine. Get a test that you can mass screen with and just get on with it. There is absolutely no way they’d delay the game changer because of an app. Yes, you’ll get the odd covidiot, but the majority of people will do their bit as they have done up to now. The r value will reduce, by then you can have your app ready to go if you really want one.

I can’t disagree with any of this:

I would disagree about the size of the potential. It’s not difficult to reach a figure of £10/share. It’s possible to get to £200 exc China. If you’re RK, then we could be the most valuable company on the planet. Back on earth, the timescales have changed, but the size of the opportunity hasn’t. BAMS is delayed due to the govt as Condor is only just ramping up operations. It’ll happen. The timing of the LFD will be fine. Imagine the frustration if we’d been sat with the LFD not validated this length of time due to Condor. The tech transfer hopefully isn’t far away, the validation will hopefully be speedier than it might have been a month ago. It’s the same old waiting game. At least we’re used to it...

Track and trace is currently asking everyone identified that’s been in contact with someone that is positive to isolate, now with the added threat of a fine. That’s the equivalent of a very high false positive rate with the current approach. Given the specificity of affimers, using Awacta’s LFD will be a huge step forward in track and trace. Test all the contacts, leave them a test for a follow up in a few days and if they’re negative they crack on. The odd false positive, if any, is not as issue.

The medusa contract is for DTC, Joe Bloggs going on the we site and ordering a test as he fancies checking to see if he’s got Covid before going to see his Nan. Awacta can sell in bulk to the govt and businesses, how they distribute them beyond that is their prerogative.

Investorz, I have no interest in any swab based test.

Why can't the govt place a huge order and distribute them? Odd statement.
