I disagree for two reasons. Firstly prevalence, until the number of infections is suitably low your monitoring would be firing off alarms everywhere so you’d end up testing everyone anyway. Secondly, Awacta would make more money if they start by testing people unnecessarily.

Doesn’t need to be clever. Dish out a load of LFDs for a month of daily testing to get r0 down. Get your sh.tty monitoring in place. Use an instant breathalyser as a belt and braces when out and about and keep a stockpile of LFDs for tactical deployment.

The trickiest part is the first bit. They need to properly compensate those that are isolating. It’d be cheaper than furlough has been but more important. If people can’t afford to isolate and they’re asymptomatic you can imagine them ignoring their test result.
