Why would Mologic need to enter in to a contract with a Test developer if it was their own test? Who have Mologic entered in to a contract with?

That sounds promising, could you remind me how many distributors in how many countries we're negotiating with? Surely not over 5? 10 would be insane. 15 would be an absolute dreamland. 20 would just be plain silly, that would suggest substantial demand, possibly more than supply....

The argument about efficacy refers to false positives. If LFDs are used as green light not red light tests that argument disappears.

Everyone has one... Medusa have theirs, Excalibur have this, we have the option of Abingdon or BBI or Medusa. LFD readers left right and centre. Currently the govt are relying on eyeballs. PSB raises a good point, as do BBI in their promo for their reader, it improves the consistency of the readings. Our test starts to show results after 10 and can be read up to 20 so there should be less of an issue, but enabling a faster read time is yet another advantage.

I agree. The MHRA won’t be pleased either. Still, as things stand, no other test has been named so I imagine all we can do is put the calendars down, relax and be patient. Not that the govt is the best customer to gain anyway. They’re entirely unreliable and don’t pay their bills.

That’s a description of Innova. ‘When done correctly’.... that’s the problem with an NP test that’s not being used properly. They won’t be around forever, but they’re not gone yet

I can’t see them sending an army of engineers in just to help surescreen... it says LFT manufacturers. It’ll be all the usual suspects, they’re helping install all the kit they’ve bought

I’ve always wondered why they haven’t taken the same approach as they had with ventilators of getting engineering and manufacturing firms involved, but based on the above I don’t see it being a factory. If they’re after a sovereign supply I don’t see it being abroad either. It sounds like it’s to get the govt kit installed, ramped up and working smoothly asap. How much capacity they’ve bought we don’t know, but if they’re still intent on 60m or the original 120m per month then the more the merrier. Is it us? Post that on twatter...

If they’re pushing to support opening up flights to green countries with LFDs alongside everything else, they are going to need lots of tests.... the country list is due to be announced tomorrow.

I don’t care. We don’t need the U.K. govt to be a success as we have a 100% sensitive world class test. We’ll sell all we make, whenever that is - so who cares if the CE mark doesn’t arrive according to an arbitrary vague timescale provided by a third party.

You might be right DaProphet, or they might not be in any rush whatsoever to move beyond Innova as they're nice and cheap. They still have a pile of cash in the £912m tender left to spend to get more on a plane from Chin-ah. The DPS might be in place for the longer term, or maybe they're more interested in variants. Who knows....
