It’s the perfect combo, a 100% sensitive test for the infectious that’s easy to use and for the fewer than 1 in 100 possibly 1000 that get a false positive, they can get a confirmatory test anyway. I still think LFD confirmatory testing would solve that. Our test at home and the leftover Innova tests at testing sites taken by professionals that can very quickly let people get on with their lives.

Interesting that the MHRA are watching closely with a view to giving emergency use approval for home use. Innova already have this - it’s expiring. For a green light test, sensitivity is more important, we have 100%. I know which test I’d choose, but this is the govt, so you never know....

You place three of them side by side. Then place three more at 90 degrees to the first three. You repeat this process until you have stacked 54 LFDs.

Then the stability testing begins. You take it in turns removing one of the LFDs and you then have to place it back on top of the LFD tower. When the tower falls you have established a stability reading. It takes a while as it’s a knockout competition. Whoever wins is named LFD stability champion and the average number of turns taken is the final stability figure.

They’ll sell all they make, why do you need PR? If, and it’s still an if, we end up being the govt’s test of choice then I’d expect some fanfare. That’ll follow in time once they’re in boxes heading to people’s houses. The press and public aren’t interested in the CV results of a small biotech. They might be interested in the results of the test that’ll be used for test and trace and reopening the economy. If it’s not the test of choice, expect some news once the press find out the govt have chosen a poor imitation.

It’s pretty straightforward. If you owned shares and believed the company isn’t worth £700m, you’d sell, pat yourself on the back and move on with your life chuffed to bits that you got one over on the market. Conclusion, they don’t own shares or they do and believe it’s worth worth more, otherwise why hold. More likely, they’re poor bitter sods that have been burned elsewhere, are too scared to put money back in to the market in case it happens again. So they just desperately hope that someone else suffers the same pain they have just to make themselves feel better. Bless em. It’s nice to have the conviction to have held from a quid to 2 to a quid to 2 to a quid to 2.60 adding on the way. The market will determine the future value of the IP, not some bitter twisted morons that have lost their furlough cash. Ooof, bet that cut deep :-)

Why is this cr’p getting bumped? It was only in response to another clown posting an equally pointless bait post. Ignore it. We can argue the toss about what’s happened in the past but it’ll have no influence over the future. They will be launching an exceptionally good LFD in the next ‘few weeks’. That’s all there is to it.

I haven’t a clue what Mologic are up to. They have a test with the NIH, it appears they have two tests here, unless one of them is the test they’re targeting the US with. They were looking to help out Bill and the third world, now possibly the U.K. govt and the US home market. It’s fair to say with them being private they can get up to all sorts and we’ll not know until it’s happened.

The link in to the US could be an interesting one. The US aren’t shy in paying top dollar, but initially they seemed to prefer gadgets with readers. Since then they’ve approved cheaper tests. If Mologic get a foot in the door then that might eventually be a route for the joint test.

The thing is, they’re now changing the use case, much to the annoyance of the MHRA. They’re straying away from the permission to use it as a red light test. There are several trials of green lights testing. In those instances, sensitivity is much more important than specificity. With the success of the vaccine rollout, perhaps the use case will be switched to a green light test. It will be used for airports, events, mass gatherings, care homes, anywhere that you need 100% confidence that you’re not infected. For that use case, there’s no competition and you would err on the side of caution and look for the absolute best.
