Well, we’ve jumped through every possible hoop and obstacle that has been put in front of us. We’ve got a proven best in class AN test that’s easy to use and has been validated at 100% at ct<27. It’s better than the unnamed test - obviously Innova - and has been designed to meet govt spec. The sample has changed, the IFU are as user friendly as you can get, the disposal of the sample in the tube is genius. Over to the govt now. They either want it or they don’t. If they don’t, europe awaits…

Best not forget there’s a whole world out there and very few of them have been fully vaccinated. Enough for only 13.7% and that’s highly skewed. Given the speed of the first outbreak, any mutation that escapes will cause major issues so there is a constant threat. Borders and travel will have to remain very different and an excellent world leading LFD is the only practical solution.

Talking of their actions they're encouraging kids to get tested before going back to school. Still keen on testing and stopping the spread despite the vaccines being effective and reducing hospitalisations... The vulnerable have had their jabs, why aren't we back to normal?

Test, test, test. It will continue as a normal part of our lives for some time, definitely throughout winter when flu season starts and the vaccines start wearing off.

It’s definitely a new entry, but given in this thread we have our test, the aptamer group test and mologic’s own as possibilities I wouldn’t read in to it at all. Interesting that if you look at the full list there are only a handful of registrations against sars-cov-2 so there haven’t been a lot of companies applying to the MHRA.

Indeed STB, Hoogivza Sheet Ltd’s reputation is pretty much ruined after that debacle. However, worth noting that if the govt are expecting the Innova EUA not to be granted, or potentially only be granted a short extension to allow a smoother handover to another supplier, the delay made no difference at all. Nothing will change until the MHRA register an alternative test that’s suitable for home use. With a date of the 22nd, there is some leeway for admin errors.

So in three weeks we’ll be supplying at a current rate of 5m per week in order to take over their supply. That’s just one country... the economy isn’t fully open yet, people are still working from home, events don’t have full crowds. A green light test helps fully open the economy and keep track. You can’t let it run wild with the dominant variant capable of vaccine escape. Test, test, test...
