It’s not transfer deadline day, there aren’t cameras at the wetherby whaler car park asking PresAl if there are any deals being inked or if the fax machine is working overtime. There was always going to be a lag, they’re not penny sweets, these are deals worth many millions if not billions and they take time. The first we might hear, due to NDAs, might be on bidstats and that could be released waaaaay after the event. There’s nothing to do other than be patient and wait. Alternatively, just **** off

I completely agree, but I’d suggest that’s up to the govt. We’ve done our bit, we have an exceptionally good test that ticks every box apart from PD. The frustration is clear and it’s in black and white in the annual results. If PresAl had hair I’m sure it would have been torn out by now. He’s had a round table with bojo, he’s changed the sampling method and produced an ingenious user friendly test with incredible results. Of course it should be bought up and produced immediately, but this is the govt and they’re useless.

What’s the point of the question when we know the answer? They’ve said in the annual results that they can’t pass it and it will cause delays in dealing with the govt. They got the CE mark to sell elsewhere for that reason. The govt and PD either trust the CV and want to procure it or don’t. If they don’t, they sell elsewhere. That’s the negotiation position we’re currently in and is the reason for delays, it’s been communicated.

We have the best test, they have additional capacity. The best outcome is if they stopped faffing about and ink a deal, but it doesn’t look good for the govt if they bypass their protocol. On the flip side, it doesn’t look great to see the best test head to Europe and beyond.

Yup, it’s a risk Pigster and a tricky tightrope to stumble along, which is probably why it’s taking more than the 5 minutes people are demanding. I’d be asking for cash up front given their reputation. My only dream if indeed it is us, is that it’s announced intraday

Eric/Code, good discussion. It’s madness that they’re considering this when you consider the dominant strain we now have here. Add in to the mix attempts to fly in fans from across Europe. Great idea, they’ll be delighted when the dangerous delta strain runs riot over there. Good for the testing market in the EU at least I suppose…

With other companies expanding, there is clearly an ongoing high demand for LFDs. Our test is better so it’s abundantly obvious they’ll sell every they make. Simple as that. JRDC is correct, as PresAl has said, it’s about capacity as that dictates how much freedom we have to do deals.

Is it just me or does every one of their RNSs reek of desperation? Seems a bit of a scatter gun approach. Basically they’ve a pile of them and they’re applying for as many approvals as possible to shift them. Best advice would be to stop making them and switch over to the best test with 100/100 <27?

Someone on twatter just reposted an old article about innova. I’ll be honest, I paid little attention to it first time but had a second look. It doesn’t just mention producing their own tests. In fact, it’s referred to as a contract manufacturing site. It also mentions working on a margin for the U.K. govt.

It’s a bit annoying to see the billions they’ve had from the govt being used to get even more cash from them, but it would seem that they’re a definite maybe when it comes to production of AffiDx. A contract manufacturer working on a margin for the govt…out of context you’d be forgiven for thinking that was GAD or ODX. The article suggests over 1m per day. Certainly a step change in capacity for the U.K. and you can imagine them achieving it, they could ship in gear from elsewhere as this has been their main market. Maybe the 30m top target refers to Innova.

Just a thought, we’ll see…
