Basically they copied and pasted some stuff and then sold different versions of their tests. Not that dissimilar to the govt, taking a test, changing the sample type and rebranding it in an NHS box.

Given this lead by the FDA, the MHRA need to up their game and register a decent quality test so that we can move on from this…. oh wait….

Good article, until there are more people fully vaccinated and whilst the delta variant is spreading here testing at this scale would allow more freedom. It’s a much better approach then lockdown, especially when you could use a test perfect for finding those that are infectious.

Spot on sleepy, there seems to be some memory loss on here. We had months of anxiety relating to getting a test and whether it would be any good. Reminder- We’ve got one and it’s a belter. CE marked, exceptional performance, easy to use and well designed. Other companies with inferior tests are expanding, it’s clear the demand is there. Even with the minimum capacity it’ll be transformational for the company. We’re heading in the clinic this year. Despite the recent wobbles in the price, there is plenty to be optimistic about.

He quite rightly got hammered in the comments regarding how British companies have been ignored and even worse not paid, despite doing their best to help during the pandemic. I agree with all of your post except laying any blame at Abakta’s door, the govt currently completely control the market so you’ve no choice but to dance to their tune. I think PresAl has been seduced and duped having been given various promises, it’s an absolute disgrace. Here’s hoping the interest from the EU translates in to inked deals. Sod the U.K. govt.
