If it’s another comedy caper like the nightingale hospitals the manufacturers can use the equipment so either way it looks like a win.

Clearly viral load is important, so if he’s saying they work for the symptomatic then they logically have to work when viral load is high before symptoms appear. It will be more accurate just because there’s more chance of getting a decent sample. You can’t get more accurate than a 100% test using a quick nasal twirl

0 then :-) I’m not surprised, given the expertise in sales and marketing I’d guessed the previous boasts were to encourage fomo in antibody testing and they always referred to access to a supply chain. Despite their billions I’d also have been very surprised if they’d managed to get hold of more kit than the govt. I’ve never placed any reliance on them so no loss for me. They still might have involvement in brokering a deal with their supply chain - if it exists…

I'd prefer testing. You can still carry and spread it whilst vaccinated. It's a cheap price to pay especially if there's a suitable 100% sensitive test available

Oncology progress depends on how much impact the delay variant has had. Even with the original timescale I think end of the year for first results was about right. Wouldn't be surprised to see it slip, but I don't think any shade can be thrown on that front

Spot on Bein, BBI have just been bought for £400m. I'd imagine as part of the due diligence they'd have checked what their pipeline looks like. Other manufacturers are expanding with or without govt help. Covid is a global issue, we have ties via mologic to Find/Gates Foundation, never mind all the obvious commercial opportunities. We have an excellent test. It'll happen, the only question is how many and the worse case scenario of 5m is transformational.

Exactly Zoom. If you calculate any of those you'll soon get to a large number and we've got the market leading test. The main switch will be the govt will pick up the tab on surge but the others will transition to private.

It’ll depend on how you judge your own level of risk. I imagine a lot of folk will go bananas, it’ll be bedlam with rivers of vomit in every city centre. However, the care homes and retirement homes won’t have the same giddy atmosphere, as the residents will have been given an AZN vaccine and it’s not near to 100% effective.

I wouldn’t stretch to genius Mikey. He changed sample types because that’s the feedback he received from govts and went down the independent route out of frustration. He’s been a bit naive if anything in chasing after a govt carrot for so long and not covering all bases sooner. As an armchair hindsight CEO, I’m sure I could have done much better, but hey ho, we are where we are.

All the above. We’re able to sell in to Europe so we can crack on there. Govt is a lovely bonus if it happens, if it doesn’t, meh - sod the bunch of corrupt clowns, they don’t deserve the best test in the world. I agree that nothing has changed, but as mowzer has said, it’s a fecking disgrace. As a shareholder, Mologic getting kicked in to touch is marvellous. As someone that believes in LFDs and the benefits they bring to help us out of this, not seeing their test in use since it was available rather than Innova pssses me off. Now that the MHRA have registered our product, not seeing that in use will take it to another level. These are very good fit for purpose tests, we should be using them.
