There’s some good discussion on twatter from the folks that got bored of the tripe on here and left. They’ve picked up on the validation studies in the U.K. that have been mentioned but never released. We might be further along this process than others. We know from the last presentation that the test is definitely being evaluated due to the hot off the press SA variant update. As it’s all govt related, this unfortunately might result in tomorrow being another classic waffle fest, albeit for exceptionally good reasons. This news vacuum could end up being a great buying opportunity.

Along side the U.K. where all our capacity would sell at very good margin in the private sector, you have the eu. We’d therefore need additional capacity which is hard to obtain in an competitive environment, hence the lack of a deal. You can’t sell what you can’t make. Maybe ousted innova will give us a cheap deal?

You’re welcome all. It’s refreshing to read as it aligns with PresAl’s sentiment that there is substantial demand. Given the document mentions they will need to continue with imports to supplement the U.K. manufacturing, it’s clear that the govt are interested in taking all that the U.K. can offer. The downsides are the usual ones, timescales and trust. I agree oxygen, there is and has been no urgency, they’ve been happy to use lockdowns rather than take advantage of testing as a solution, so timescales are lengthy. As for trust, we’ve got to trust that they will properly validate our product and give it the full recognition it deserves. As they’ve said, once the market opens up, in a free market quality alongside price will be very important. If I was making procurement decisions I’d want to buy the very best and nothing can better finding 100% of the infectious. It would also protect margins.

Who knows what conversations have taken place, perhaps the govt have said that they’re happy with Innova until the free market arrives which has spurred PresAl in to looking to Europe in the meanwhile. All the above certainly fits with everything he’s said about the U.K. market and being able to sell everything we make. It’s just taking a long time. *insert Guinness tagline*

Posted before but updated recently. It’s painfully slow dealing with the govt, but they’re heading in the right direction. Worth a read in full. The timescales suggest that even if they drag their heels for a few more months, the available market will be worth it. Ignore the absolute BS from Covid deniers such as sea lions that suggest there will be no demand beyond vaccine rollout out. It’s in black and white. Some nice snippets:

They won’t be extended. They will be exempt from the new legislation, although I’d personally argue that the use of their test has never been properly evaluated as the instructions for use don’t match the original manufacturer IFU.

Maybe, the MHRA weren’t happy for it being used in this way, but then they also just gave them an extension until the new legislation kicks in that gives them a free pass. That’s even though it’s not suitable and doesn’t perform well enough for this purpose. Who knows, perhaps they’ll show a bit of interest in an easy to use British test that’s perfectly suited and performs exceptionally well. Time will tell.. meanwhile europe and the rest of the planet awaits.

Someone receiving Innova tests from the NHS isn’t a shocker, we need to find someone who is part of the test to release LFD trial….

They’ve said it’s a trial. There’s no reason to believe it won’t be a success if they’re using AffiDx. There’s little urgency though, they could have cracked on a while ago - unless they’ve been awaiting MHRA registration of a suitable test before inking a deal. I suspect that the dither has also been related to pushing vaccines. This is a good combo of carrot and stick. Get your vaccines and then if you’re traced you don’t need to isolate via testing. Works for everyone.

Indeed, the issue is that as we have seen here, even with successful vaccine rollout outs cases of the delta variant can still grow exponentially. It’s no wonder that the U.K. is making its way on to red lists. No country will want it arriving, especially considering they’re lagging in vaccine %s. As it becomes dominant globally, the risk is then the next mutation results in vaccine escape. The positive will be that the development of vaccines and boosters will be faster and hopefully for the U.K. their diagnostics capabilities will be able to keep pace. Test and release ie a green light test will be a huge step forward and has always been essential alongside vaccines to keep the economy going. Something to be positive about with an excellent 100% sensitive test - with the caveat that the hapless govt are involved of course.

Being realistic is not expecting anything on Monday in the first place. It was never realistic to have any expectations at all. Yet every time there’s a queue of mugs saying there’ll be an RNS or woe betide, it’s ridiculous. News will turn up in an RNS whenever it becomes available, simple as that. If we didn’t have these updates, there’d be a bunch of moaning about a lack of comms. Be careful what you wish for… #InColinWeTrust

It’s not a trading update. Given the drop from the recent highs I don’t think there’s much expectation left. That is probably fair as there is zero reason to believe that several weeks ago they planned a meeting to coincide with anything. It’s just an update, if there feck all to update on then it’ll be a damp squib, but given there’s not been an RNS why expect anything else. Some weird people on here that seem determined to talk their own investment down….

Apre, you missed out the heartfelt (lengthy obvs) speech about not being interested in the business, but purely the share price following by an even longer post about the fundamentals and why there’s no future in testing. The sea lion is easily by far and away the biggest (insert your favourite here) ever and we’ve had Aw/Eggy/NDN littering the board. This (insert your favourite here) disrupts every decent thread, posts blatant lies to do so all whilst claiming not to care about the company. If that were the case, they wouldn’t post. There are hundreds of thousands of shares to trade and the majority of them would be easier to trade using charts due to smaller spreads and better liquidity.

I’m not ordinarily a fan of doing it, but it’s reached the stage that every one of his posts needs reporting by everyone that is bored to death of his disruptive behaviour. I’ve binned the (insert your favourite here), but all I read every single day is lengthy thread after thread ruined by people responding to his BS. It buries the good discussions and ruins any research that might get posted. It’s a shame there isn’t an option to filter whole threads. Then we’d just need to lure the (insert your favourite here) in to a tedious discussion about his Covid denial nonsense each day. A scumbag of the worst kind.

That’s because this conversation happens before every meeting there’s ever been. It’s idiotic, which is why Rolly has chipped in. Not a single presentation has ever been planned to coincide with an announcement, it’s not possible to plan with perfection. Given he’s never been close to anything he’s ever said, why would he gain clairvoyant skills for Monday? Everything involves other parties and they’ll work at their own pace. Lawyers are involved. After an RNS if he wants to give extra info then that’s what the interviews with Giles and the talkative Brummy are for.
