Agree with your calcs and have been using 8 as the multiplier to be conservative as we are currently at around 4 - we need basically a few quarters of similar production and history effectively and the gold price to hold above that level you are using which is looking promising currently. The biggie for me is Telfer and the extension on that as that then gives the large investors confidence in the medium term 3-5 years of guaranteed 320-350k oz per year production regardless of Haverion. That is the cherry on the top !

Totally agree - if the rally with gold now in breakout territory coincides with a good quarter of production, big cash balance (assumed) and some large increases in reserves across the park but especially with Telfer then we could see the re-rating that many want and some are expecting.

There is definitely a reallocation of assets happening not just with central banks but across anyone that owns USD and some statistics and articles are validating that view. The question for me is whether we will see this level of gold price now stabilising for 6,12, 18 months plus and that this is the new normal of a post $3000 an oz. If it is the case then the likes of GGP and many others will see significant re-ratings. Currently i dont believe investment houses see this as the new normal and see that a 2000-2500 price it will go back to at some stage in medium term and hence why cash cows like GGP, Fresnillo, Endeavour and a raft of other producers are not really being priced at the current free cashflow levels that these companies are producing.

We may hit $4000 an oz today and could that be the catalyst for a rerating of many gold stocks!

What i find amazing is that again gold is now above levels that are required to be held and this SP is doing nothing. Just seems to be very little interest by the large players in GGP at the moment. Lets hope that some drill results, another positive qtr of telfer production and results and telfer upgrade to several years of mining potential is what gives this stock a lift!

Where is it being stated that the day rates have increased?

The bizarre thing about so many commentators about gold at the moment is this short termism attitude that the bull run has finished, etc etc. The reality is the main buyers are central banks and they do not want a price that is fluctuating like a crypto coin and it seems to have stabilised above the 3250 mark which is fine. I still dont believw stock markets have yet factored into gold producers share prices that this is the new normal of a post 3000 an oz price. If that happens then many miners like your endeavours, Fresnillo (already 50% uplift) will see significant upsides in my opinion and stocks like greatland etc will get the benefit. It is a long game that many on here are not used too it seems!

Definitely agree Spades about some individuals trying to sow doubt but the share pool on these boards must be miniscule in the scheme of the 670m shares on issue. Just need some news in the next few weeks and that will steady the ship and a gold price that now seems to be holding above 3300usd an oz for a few weeks now which is great news.

Yes they have. The volumes are so low - even PRE consolidation we were doing nearly double the volumes of the past week

sorry to hear that tt but fully understand your decision as there is some right ******s on here now and it is difficult to keep filtering them as they keep making more aliases obviously.

Welshinvestor well written post and as much as i am in profit i agree with you that it has been underwhelming to say the least especially with gold holding above $3300 an oz. The listing in oz has not been the panacea that many thought and probably what SD even thought. The over subscription has not materialised in what would appear to be any funds taking up or increasing there holdings. The ASX100 inclusion should though help to have some more larger holders on our registry come October onwards but certainly hope from today onwards we get some news that underpins the current SP and potentially gives it a re-rating as much is being said about the quarterly but the financials are already known to a large extent unless a major upside or downside to those expectations. For me the only catalyst outside of the ASX100 inclusion is a bigger than expected upgrade to resource at Telfer and not sure whether they are still drilling at Haverion for that to be a possible upgrade from the 7m ozs. All you can do is wait and see what happens between here and end of year. I will personally be making my decision towards the end of this year to sell/hold down in my pension, ISA and fund accounts my GGP depending on developments over the next 5 months.
