Yes BumbleB, I didn't read the "About" bit at the bottom. I'm aware that they will still produce electricity, and I had thought that the first commercial unit (or so) would just be producing electricity with hydrogen to come in at a later date, but this RNS seems to be giving the indication that hydrogen might be the main focus at an earlier point. Pomander, you keep on criticising PHE for focusing on waste plastics and old tyres for feedstocks. I really don't understand why you have a problem with that. If they had stated that as a strategy from the very beginning, would you have had a problem with it? Or is it just because at some point they mentioned municipal waste and have now narrowed it down to these two specific items?

This RNS seems to confirm the company's focus on the production and sale of hydrogen. No mention of electricity although we know that they will be producing and selling electricity as well, but that seems to be very much in secondary position now. It also confirms the focus on waste plastics and old tyres as feedstocks.

Seems to me that the AIM market is not interested in long term potential, they are only interested in short term reality. "Will be done" doesn't cut it, it needs to be "has been done".

Looks like they lost about �2k (10%) on the deal. Should be called BAD and ISA!

It seems that interest in hydrogen is growing at a rapid exponential rate. So perhaps by the time PHE start producing commercial G3 units they may not have to be dependant upon only the sale of electricity for very long. They may find that they are able to produce and sell hydrogen at a much earlier stage than at first envisaged.

Thanks for that link Pomander. A very interesting article, makes in clear just how much potential there is in the hydrogen market for PHE when they start building their commercial G3 units later this year.

So just to make sure I understand that remark, Newboy, are you advocating plug-in battery cars and vehicles?

Perhaps some people forget that electricity from the grid to charge car batteries is not clean fuel, because the grid is still largely fed from diesel generators. And if more and more vehicles are charging up their batteries from the grid, then more diesel generators will be required.

Yes I read the RNS, and it says: "...currently offshore UAE and is therefore ready to be mobilised to Nigeria shortly." Presumably that means that at the time of writing, the rig was still offshore UAE, and would shortly thereafter be mobilised.

Carpking, bear in mind that there is no certainty that the Zhi Yuan Kou is the vessel that is going to carry our rig (the COSLFORCE) to West Africa, but it seems the most likely one for various reasons, not least that it is owned by the same group of companies as the rig. Not on board yet. What you saw was a vessel that the HLV had carried from China to deliver to the UAE. It was offloaded early this morning. Still to load our rig on board, assuming that this is the HLV vessel that is going to be used to transport our rig to West Africa, and that isn't certain yet, just speculation.

It's actually closer to 7,500 miles, and it should be able to travel at about 11.5 kts so we are looking at 26 days, approx.

I see that the hydrogen is to be produced by electrolysis at each filling station, wherever possible by renewable means i.e. wind, solar, or hydro.

Actually tom, I think you'll find it's 800C not 8,000C (that would be hotter than the sun!)
