Already logged in on the website and posted a question on Vermelho timeline and how it can be accelerated, but I am expecting this we cast to focus again on araguaia. They will at least have to tell us whether the off takes have been done as promised and what work has started. Obviously I would hope this is a full finance announcement but it may not be.

SJ - we would be due a quarterly report, pretty sure this isn't it. Can only be finance, a partnership, or a bid.

Interesting thing to do though don't you think? Don't remember them announcing anything like this via RNS before, kind of implies significant news will be released. Corporate update could mean almost anything.

They will sell a lot because it is cheap to buy and even cheaper to run.

Think the truck will be a success or a DeLorean style flop? I know the truck market in the US is huge, but it is also pretty conservative, space age tech and a stetson seems incongruous. Hope they have done their market research.

Rover - I suspect ii, HL et al have significant daily changes in holdings and are very likely exempt from needing to RNS as the shares are not under their voting control. If an individual ii account holder passes the threshold for notification then that individual is responsible for the notice. I accidentally passed 3% in a company years ago and found that out the hard way!

Surprised no one has mentioned the likely agreement of favourable off takes as the news in the background. The timescale is about right!
That could leak several ways, not least through the off take organisation, and may not mean an immediate RNS as previously suggested, although I am of the opinion it should.

Bwana - my option is to take the 25% out on my 55th birthday - sadly closer for me than for you young whippersnappers - and put the rest into draw down.
The government has fixed the LTA until 2026, it used to be higher ten years ago and is now definitely a claw back.
My problem is made worse by having other pensions which also contribute to the LTA, it's not just my SIPP.

Absolutely 100% a first World problem, a bit like worrying about choosing the colour of the cushions for your yacht. Right now though HZM getting much past 10p will cause me tax man pain, but help fund the national recovery from the pandemic.

My problem is a lot of my holding is in my SIPP (7.25m in there). The life time allowance seems likely to get me on this with a whopping tax bill unless anyone has any bright ideas otherwise. I have a year to figure it out :)

Hidden in the results are the fact they have finally started to spend on plant and equipment and staff. Previous annual results have shown little more than vehicles and staff computers, this time we have several million spent on P&E, and staff costs starting to rise too.

I also like that the Canadian Exchange included SDT in their required changes, it makes that project as a third mine more tangible. Its not ignorable any more.

Everyone wants the finance deal done, or a takeover, or even better both causing a double step change. Both will happen, just a question of when and a wait for the patient.

If you are a long term holder then you'll appreciate the serious money you have made over the last 12 months. I'm not sure where your 'another year' is coming from, this time last year the price was 1.65p . Take a look at the 12 month chart. Are you seriously griping at being 335% up in 12 months?
Perhaps you bought some time further back, and are only 100-200% up. If you really are so fed up why not sell and find a better long term investment.

I took a load of scrap metal left over from a house renovation to the scrap yard yesterday. Some old appliances, various bits of iron and steel, and some copper piping and wiring.
I dumped it all and they paid out etc (£5000 a ton for copper!), but there was an interesting piece to me channelling steptoe and son / recycling...

The bit relevant to here is something I had never seen before. The scrap yard had a team of staff with tools stripping the old appliances to remove the stainless steel (washing machine drums, fascias, dishwasher linings etc). I asked why, they said the stainless was now so valuable it was more than worth separating. Of course stainless is 10% nickel or thereabouts. 316 stainless scrap is now £1.10 a kilo compared to light iron (normal scrap) which is 11p a kilo.
Just an indicator of the changes in the nickel value chain with demand pushing up scrap value.

Down another 20%, but sentiment is still negative as money moves back out of gold. Nearly in the predicted 15s, but I think it may still go lower unless something happens to bolster market sentiment.
SA risk, gold slide, debt and dollar to rand could all add up to take this to 12 or 13 by summer. If this drops out of the teens that's a strong buy point for me as whilst we may be coming out of the pandemic primary effects, the economic after shocks will bring gold back into favour.

I think if the off take agreement is signed it is news material to the market valuation and should be announced. I also think the company would prefer to announce it to help both the finance deal and the share price, and it aligns with the new frequent news flow strategy.

Should point out in case its not obvious that we got two RNS items in the five months between 21st of September and 18th of Feb, and have had five in the three weeks since the 18th of Feb.

Since the company changed strategy (and it did) there has been at least one RNS a week. I think the company has decided to try and keep the news flow up whilst it tries to complete finance.
So... What day this week will we get an RNS and what will be in it? I am going for Thursday, with news on either a new significant holder or an equipment order. We could get ECA news, and maybe in the next two to three weeks the company will actually tell us about the off takes.

Touching 450 now, up 55p since I last posted on this. Think that's enough for me for now, although I am sure this will continue a little in the short term we are only just starting ti see the real financial impact of the pandemic. Once government support is reduced I see an awful rise in bad debts ahead, and not just in thr UK and Europe, but with global knock on.

No redesign or delay necessary. Araguaia has always been targeted at the stainless steel sector. Stainless Steel demand growth has historically been running at 5% per annum, I suspect in recovery that will be much higher. The Araguaia RKEF approach will feed that without any need for change.

Vermelho is set to have a DFS this year, they could decide to go for a lower capex / higher output RKEF model rather than HPAL, or stick with the original approach. Either way Vermelho is a large high grade resource in a mining district with low carbon hyrdo power and excellent transport links.

The fact that ferro nickel can be used by the Chinese to produce matte as a precursor for battery use is an interesting, but doesn't change the need to double the industry raw material supply chain over the next ten years. Ferro nickel is still part of that 2.7m ton global production, its not an additional resource. Diverting ferro nickel to batteries means less available for the stainless steel industry. Iron is not turning into nickel by some sort of alchemy.

Someone sold 5m, trades at x:51 three separate points in the day. Judging purely by price recovery late in the day that may clear the overhang, but we will see tomorrow and whether buying today was a good or bad idea :)
