The times newspaper issued an article around IAG takeover of Easyjet. In order for the times to publish the article they would need an inside reliable source within IAG. The very next day Easyjet shares went up roughly 10%, that was a direct correlation to the story.
RNS rules state that listed companies must issue without delay major new developments that may affect their business if the development may lead to a substantial share price movement. IAG SP moved significantly post the times article. As the article was related to IAG acquiring, it was on IAG to issue an RNS if INCORRECT.
There are then exclusions from RNS notification requirements relating to impending developments and matters in the course of negotiation i.e acquisitions, hence IAG did NOT have to issue an RNS if the Times news article is true.
As stated in my previous post the combination of takeover speculation, the aviation industry forecasts being excellent for future quarters and EZJ shares being oversold previously, shares in EZJ will continue to increase significantly moving forward.

Based on market rules, AIG would legally need to release an RNS stating something along the lines of......we are aware of recent media speculation regarding submitting an offer to acquire Easyjet, we can confirm this is not accurate or something along those lines. AIG did NOT do that and hence as a result they must be mulling over an acquisition of Easyjet.

The aviation market forecasts are excellent moving forward whether it is Ryanair, Luthansa, Easyjet etc. The market is booming for the coming quarters which conflicts with the general economy, which is great, it means aviation is an outlier to the recession which is already active in other markets. Bottom line is people need to travel, it is more or less now a mandatory requirement for lifestyle, business etc and better still people will be looking more at budget airlines such as Easyjet so our market share should increase, similar to what you see in retail with Aldi and Lidl.

Combination of takeover speculation, very strong aviation market forecasts, too big a sell off in EZJ shares previously means that the Easyjet share price will continue to rise in the short to medium term.....Great news for PI's invested. DYOR

What is a fair price in the current market?

Load factors in EZJ are excellent for the coming quarters
Airline sector forecasts are excellent moving forward
EZJ have prime runway slots across Europe, worth a lot of money
Their balance sheet is excellent - £3.6bn in the bank
EZJ fleet of airlines would have to be taken into account in any takeover price
EZJ e-commerce model is also excellent, worth a lot of money
EZJ Brand and marketing is very strong, again worth a lot of money
So many factors to price in to any acquisition.
Cannot really see how a fair price would be below £6.50ish but no numbers behind that as do not know the value of their fleet of airlines etc
The good news in the short term is that any shorts from the big institutions will have to be closed as there is no smoke without fire and the media speculation will focus minds and be the catalyst for IAG/Wizz Air etc to move quickly.

The best scenario is if we have a number of interested parties to really ramp the price.

This is an EZY board, trolls will move on, they have no friends, no money and no life. Imagine spending every day and every night on a board like this, living the dream! This is THE MOST important aspect of their life, WHAT KIND OF LIFE IS THAT, TO CONSTANTLY CHECK POSTS AND POSTERS ETC, I would rather be on the list for execution in prison!

Take a moment to think about that, us PI's have a life, have money to invest and socialise etc. They have nothing, they are waiting on somebody to talk to them, this is their be all and end all.

Watch how often they post, reviewing posters and think why do they not have a life!

Let them talk to themselves, do not reference them in your responses. They are IRRELEVANT. Trolls are like $HIT ON A SHOE, WIPE OFF AND MOVE ON!

Remember PI's all the fundamentals for EZY are very strong:-

Balance Sheet excellent
Hedging Strategy - very good
Price model for all customers great (market share will increase as we attain more of the affluent customer base)
EZY Primary airport base is excellent
Demand for Q4 and Q1 next year is already ahead of 2019 actuals (pre pandemic) which is outstanding
Against the current economic background EZY are thriving. When the economy stabilises EZY will rocket in SP, it is the only variable holding it back.

This is an outstanding set of results given all environmental factors outside of EZY control.

I have no doubt that EZY have currently the strongest balance sheet, best loading factors, best hedging strategy etc in the market. EZY main rivals cannot compete with these results and will lose market share to EZY as a result moving forward.

EZY are set up perfectly to take huge chunks of customers from BA etc and outperform 2019 results as all key indicators in the RNS suggest.

Patience is all you need now PI's and watch the share price move materially north. DYOR

Dealing in facts, PI's should check out the CAA (Civil aviation authority) website which details passenger numbers etc per month. Easyjet had the highest percentage passenger ratio v seats per flight for June 22, keep a track on percentage ratio as they publish next quarters data.

Also as per Bloomberg analysis, flight prices were up approx 30% in Q3. Combination of these 2 factors alone mean return to profit for Easyjet to be published on 13th October.

Demand is very high for October mid term, short breaks, business trips for Q4. Customers are moving from BA in particular to Easyjet for business trips which again equates to greater demand and greater forecasted profits for EZY in Q4.

PI's focus on the facts as opposed to noise from trolls who have no life. You can tell by the amount of drivel and posts they generate who they are. Recommendation....filter all trolls and then effectively they are engaging/playing with themselves....which is what their sad life amounts to anyway.

Facts - During H1 easyJet repaid £300 million of commercial paper, clearing the final balance under the CCFF scheme.
easyJet has no other debt maturities until the 2023 financial year. As at 31 March 2022 our net debt position was
£0.6 billion (30 September 2021: £0.9 billion) including cash and cash equivalents and money market deposits of
c.£3.5 billion.

The current MCAP based on share price is 2.4Bn....which does not equate. The only thing holding this back is the economy. All forecasts predict that inflation will peak in the coming weeks and then will begin to fall steadily.

I expect good news on the 13th Oct and Easyjet has returned to profit. The RNS today regarding Easyjet holidays is a brucie bonus in the portfolio. Aligned to the economy beginning to stabilise at that point, I expect a bull run on Easyjet.

Do not listen to noise, focus on the facts....that is how all PI's will reap the benefits of their investments. DYOR.
