I love a FACT based argument Easi, please share the facts as requested on why QCM is highly regarded....still waiting?

Freedom of speech is key....however defamatory/libellous posts should definitely have the relevant consequences. We unfortunately do not live in a lawless society.

Please disclose your short position or are you another one on here for the good of their health?? It definitely gives me a warm fuzzy feeling if you are another do gooder, but is it good for your health would be the key question?

Fair point oldgold22. For me there has to be some sort of governance and control. It is black and white that certain posts are defamatory, the more difficult point to prove is the quantum on reputational damage as you relay. However I have been taken aback at the number of online libel cases being pursued in terms of tweets, even if some do not end up in court.

It means they need to fork out for a lawyer and legal costs etc and the more interesting point is the audit trail for the IP addresses and whether they link back to any particular one source??????

QCM produced a non fact based report, did not engage the executive of DT on the content to clarify any points before issuing, and tried to circulate a baseless, non credible report for their own gains - FACT.

Some PI's are likely to have got spooked and have lost money which they should be compensated for and impacted DT's reputation short term. QCM have a case to answer on this with the regulator and this is being pursued as we speak.

What does the regulator do with QCM questions that do NOT have a shred of evidence - NOTHING - FACT

P.S PI's are still waiting for your answer on all these credible sources that deem QCM to be highly respected????

Panda69....you can be assured that the DT legal team will be pursuing with the regulators etc what if any sanctions/fines etc can be brought against QCM from the moment the report was issued. You do not need to fight that battle on their behalf but I admire your crusade thinking. But realistically these things take years to play out. However the good news is that the report did not have any desired impact on the SP that QCM would have been forecasting and that tells you everything you need to know about the substance of the report.

However if you contact the regulator they might provide you with an informed update, i.e we already investigating what action can be taken against QCM etc or you may not get anything back who knows, would be interesting to find out.

Just as an update, re engagement with LSE.

I requested a libellous thread was removed on DT which it has been.

I requested to understand if IP addresses are/can be passed on to DT for any defamatory comments as per twitter i.e If the tweet is read and reputational damage has been suffered then you can pursue a claim for online libel.

I requested to understand how posters are banned entirely in terms of continuous nonsense being posted that could impact even one PI's decision making.

She is then going to post about the similarities of the Wagner mercenary group fighting in Ukraine and Darktrace and the similarities of death in conflict.

As I have stated, nothing on this board or any other board has zero impact on the SP. But it potentially has an impact on a couple of individual PI's. A combination of disingenuous and bare face LIES posts and Shorter's in my opinion is the lowest of the low. For the time being I will continue to call them out.

Some key sources that move the SP are:-

RNS's (these have been excellent over the last 2 weeks)
6 Brokers have a 'buy' rating on the DT SP
Golden media sources such as the recent FT article on DT
DT's industry leading service/product offering
Demand in the cyber market is exponentially increasing
Cyber threat is becoming more complex, state funded and requires industry leading AI products to combat the threat

I have 100% confidence in my investment.

Why at the beginning of the report does it clearly state ''the publication is subject to change without notice'' and no ''warranty is made concerning the accuracy of the data'' if you included factual information in the report? Factual information does not change?

Please confirm the informed and inside sources you engaged within Darktrace in order to produce an accurate, fact based report?

Please explain why you did not reach out to the Darktrace executive in the first instance to try to validate any claims you made in your report before publishing? Surely if you were on the side of investors you would want to ensure any information documented in your report is accurate before publishing?

Why did you build up a short position on Darktrace before releasing your report if you are on the side of investors as you claim to be?

Why have you significantly reduced your short position by approximately 50% in only 7 trading days since releasing the report if you have a credible and fact based report? Surely you should have materially increased your short position if you had full confidence in the report?

Reducing your short position by 50% in 7 trading days since releasing the report suggests you had no compelling evidence or facts and as a result you were merely trying to spook investors and manipulate the market for your own gains. Please confirm or deny with evidence?

Any private investors that got spooked and have lost money as a result of your baseless report, can you confirm if you will compensate any losses as a result, given your mantra is that you are on the side of investors?

Please confirm who funds your operations and is there any conflict of interest with Darktrace services?

Disclose your short position? I cannot believe you have a love in with the one man and his dog operation that is QCM. Are you not embarrassed that they have reduced their SHORT POSITION by 50% NOW since releasing the report. Are you not embarrassed that the SP has increased since QCM released their report??

Darktrace have over 2200 employees
The person you are referring to does not work for Darktrace
When he did work for Darktrace he was NOT charged or convicted of fraud
The most sensitive market to fraud is big banks in terms of SP....there are hundreds of cases of fraud related to big banks on an annual basis and it does not impact the SP or reputation.

Now go and do something exciting on this Sunday and stop acting desperate. Tomorrow close your short position as you are losing big time the longer you stick around.

Darktrace have over 2200 employees of which the one guy you are referring to does not work for Darktrace, he has not been charged with fraud or convicted of fraud when he worked at Darktrace.

To put into context for you there are hundreds of big bank employees, yes HUNDREDS of bid bank employees convicted of FRAUD on an annual basis.....it has zero impact on SP or reputation of a bank.

Agree Easiwynns they cannot win them all. Looking at MW strategies for other FTSE's they would have been targeting shorting 3-4% of DT at least in my opinion. They obviously revised the position quick sharp which is good for DT investors.

MW have a surprising rosta of short positions on the FTSE......they have short positions on Burberry, Pets at Home etc. Never caught my attention before but I am going to keep an eye on which FTSE's they target in the future.

Disagree....you are missing the material point. The buyback scheme will reduce the freefloat by circa 13%. That is golden to the BOD because it significantly reduces the risk of a short attack in the future...the costs to loan shares will be much higher etc which puts shorts off. Hence the buyback scheme means a much more robust setting for the SP which is worth a hell of a lot more than £75M. Do your research.

Just to confirm why the short game is over for the bitter and twisted folk on here......in order to reduce the short position they have to buy shares (thanks SHORTS for supporting all investors causes!!). The short gaming only continues if they were increasing their short position. The significant reduction in the short position of QCM supports the SP and investors cause obviously and be in no doubt that will continue.

Now that Marshall Wace have crumbled and have started to go the same way.....again any reduction in short position supports all PI's as they buy back shares and is the white flag on MW that we needed that they have also lost faith.

In summary PI's.....happy days.....we have WON!
