RE: Marshall Wace19 Feb 2023 22:43
Man some of you guys like to run down an alleyway and dont turn back! To quote from the NY Times:-
''By buying a stake in a hedge fund, K.K.R. receives a cut of the often hefty fees that investors in the fund pay to the managers. Marshall Wace said that its existing management team would continue to run the business INDEPENDENTLY after the transaction, and that the company did not plan to CHANGE its investment strategies.''
KKR as a PE invest in all sorts of hedge funds, stocks etc, they have a wide portfolio. They have NO influence over MW decisions. We need to get some perspective here....MW have a short of just over 1%....that is peanuts. There are circa 70 FTSE's....yes 70 FTSE's with HIGHER short positions.
There is ZERO chat on here regarding the fundamentals of the company, results in a couple of weeks, I really question the thought process of some PI's on here!!!!!
