THG is seriously undervalued and the noise and dark arts have hit the company significantly over the last 18 months.

It feels like this is a new beginning....the fundamentals of this company are too strong and I expect a bull run up until results in April and then post results. Good luck all!

I expect a solid rise over the coming weeks in advance of results on the 30th March.

The SP has definitely bottomed out and a good opportunity for all to take advantage.

AI - Investor not sure if you track the markets but any good news currently at results is jumped on by the mass herd of investors. Growth of 30%ish in revenue, zero debt, big cash pile in the bank is music to investors ears.

Also the results will include key information on their new innovative products in the pipeline and will provide an update on the demand in the market....cyber security is a super hot market. This update is super important.

There will be an update on the EY report of final date of publication....again this will be huge.

Any reference to considering a dual listing with the US will be monumental.

Any Non executive director changes will also please the market.

FTSE results days are material....you need to do your research!!

Times have significantly changed Hindy86 and you have to move with the times. Poppy would not have envisaged the disingenuous $hit she has had to deal with.....the points below are material.

CRH says it has concluded that a US primary listing would bring “increased commercial, operational and acquisition opportunities”. Currently, CRH generates around three-quarters of its profits, on an EBIDTA basis, in the US.

It emerged earlier this week that oil giant Shell recently explored shifting its listing and headquarters to the US, in an attempt to lift its valuation towards those of US rivals.

DT please please reference that you are currently considering listing in the US either dual listing or transitioning from the FTSE to the US as part of the results on Wednesday. Either statement is what the market wants to hear and will benefit shareholders considerably.

The FACTS are there....CRH, Flutter, Shell, ARM etc etc

Watchman007 be assured that MW know nothing....it is game playing at this point. Their Short high position was 1.21% in DT....if they knew something their short position would be 3-4% and a lot higher than their original short position of 1.21%...their current position is 1.1%. They are game playing, they had nearly 3% of ASOS shorted at one point and still have 2.59%.

Hindy86 in the article it states Darktrace have lagged a RISING market and trade at a BIG discount to peers = significantly undervalued.

I quoted some of the MCaps of the peers the other day.

As stated this SP is being manipulated.....that will hopefully stop come results next week. The SP was trending as it should post the 1st Feb. I am convinced now the skewed day last week when it went initially to 290pish and then down to 255pish on good news was a result of MW selling big chunks. They undoubtedly took out a significant long position late Jan/start of Feb in terms of hedging and they did not want the SP reaching 300p last week and sold tranches during the day at a big profit and was the catalyst for other investors to sell.

MW are now trying to win on both positions prior to results. They increased their short position by 0.03% 2 days ago which is nothing, but more a symbolic point to try to spook other investors as 0.03% is not really a move MW make and very strange. I am convinced they have made huge profits via their long position and are trying to manipulate other investors prior to results.

I am convinced that they are continuing to try to faff around but do not have the volume anymore on their long to make a significant impact.

The cyber attack at WH Smith shows that no company is immune to such data breaches, warns Ceri Shaw, chief delivery officer at digital skills academy CodeClan.

Shaw says all businesses must take the threat of data breaches seriously, and implement measures that protect their employees’ and customers’ information from the ‘ever-present threat’ of cyber-attacks are an ever-present threat.

There are several practical steps that companies can take to minimise the risk of a data breach, Shaw explains:

Firstly, any data stored on computers and storage devices, as well as data in transit over networks, should be safeguarded. The best way of doing this is to encrypt any sensitive data – such as customer information and financial data – to help protect your organisation against any hackers and unauthorised access.

If your organisation uses any software and security systems, they should be frequently updated to make certain that any vulnerabilities are being patched. Across the organisation, strong and unique passwords should be used to minimise any risk. A password manager is a highly useful tool that will help produce and memorise strong passwords.

Finally, training should be in place for all employees on how to distinguish and prevent cyber threats, along with a plan in place on how to restore systems and contain the breach if one was to occur.

Responding with speed to a cyber-attack will help minimise any risks and disruption, while helping restore levels of consumer confidence

Many cyber-attacks are being conducted by ransomware gangs, points out Jake Moore, Global Cyber Security Advisor at security firm ESET,

Following WH Smith’s cyber attack, Moore explains:

“Large companies are regularly targeted but it is significant to have a succession of big names being brought down recently. If company data has been accessed, it could be used as a bargaining tool to maximise the cybercriminals’ ransom demands.

The fact it potentially includes employee information it could increase the amount dramatically. It is likely that if this was a ransomware attack then the restoration process worked efficiently. However, attackers now tend to steal sensitive information as insurance in case their encryption plans are not as successful or impactful.”

Transcripts released last month showed that Royal Mail had rejected an “absurd” ransom demand for $80m (£67m) from hackers linked to Russia following its cyber attack in January.

Even after recent high-profile hacks, like that on Royal Mail, it is “highly worrying” that vulnerabilities still plague companies like WH Smith, says Keiron Holyome, VP UKI & Emerging Markets at Canadian software company BlackBerry.

Holyome explains:

Organisations need better cyber hygiene as criminals are increasingly being attracted by stores of sensitive data and information.”

Cyber criminals are waiting for organisations and the public to drop their guard. We must not let them seize the opportunity.”

Businesses should not have to suffer the effects of cyberattacks, Holyome argues:

Endpoint detection and response (EDR) focused solutions take action too late and do not prevent breaches. Prevention is the best strategy. With a prevention-first and AI-driven approach, malware can be stopped in its tracks.

In terms of SP forecasts I do not believe in posting numbers on any forum, I have my number forecasts for key upcoming milestones.....results......publication of EY final report......a fair value/impossible not to accept takeover SP etc etc. Everyone should do their own research and based on their own due diligence , make their own calls and forecasts.

Absolutely SW.....it should be a key discussion point by the DT executive on a regular basis over the last number of months and an update on their direction of travel related to this strategy is material for shareholders to understand

DT the message is clear.

Washington Post recent article clearly states that DT is seriously UNDERVALUED.

This share is obviously being manipulated and it would NOT happen in the US.

RNS 1st Feb - Share buyback programme it states:-
