Good post, DRB. Reading it like that just makes you fall off your chair. It is incomprehensible. Ok he is a busy man (if he is doing anything - jury is out) but surely a CEO keeps a cursory eye on the SP of a listed company? It takes 15 seconds max to check the price once a day - do not tell me he and the rest of them aren't doing that. It's ****ing insane.

He probably has no idea that shareholders are so furious (well the ones who didn't vote in favour of his unwarranted payrise) with him and the board. After all, every AGM is now online with an almost total shareholder blackout. I think he'll go into politics after NCYT, perfect for this faceless, blameless Tory government.

It obviously isn't easy but how has there not been a suitable target out there in the last 18 months? The 'strategy update' was apparently in April but the reality is it is almost September and we have absolutely no idea what the strategy. This is completely opposite to having a duty of care to shareholders. How is it even possible to be this ignorant of shareholders?

I'll continue to discuss the share but not *******s about whether I hold or not. As I've said before, if you/others think that one person on a BB can tank the share this much, then you know an awful lot less than I do, which isn't much.

HarChris - I do not become enthused in the slightest. We have been red for, I think, 9 or 10 days straight now on no news. We are sub £1 and marcap is more than £30M lower than cash. I become more active on days like this because I genuinely want to stoke debate and try to make some sense of it. If we go a month and it is completely flat and still no news, there is naturally less to talk about so I tend to be more quiet. Is it so hard to understand that being more active when we are dipping EVERY DAY is quite normal in an attempt to understand why?

I'm genuinely not having a go but I don't understand how it is hard to work out why I am asking more questions. The board is generally quiet if things are stable for ages and more noisy when there are big spikes and dips. I don't know how it is hard to understand that.

I literally have never posted on here under a different name and started last year, not 2016. Now, filtered.

The big 47k and 37k sells this morning worries me - that cannot be sold at a profit so whoever is dumping that much at these prices either knows something or is seriously concerned.

What was the story with Avacta dropping down so low then bouncing 500-600%?

I agree about if calling it quits would have by now, but is it not looking like it's a race to the bottom now? If £70m is fine, why isn't £60m and £50m and so on?
Dear god, the last thing we want now is any sort of results announcement. If no news is doing this, imagine what another profit warning will do.

Some big sells already today, circa 37k and 47k. Bio finally unloading maybe. Or DA before he loses all of the 100k he bought!

It’ll be another closed AGM, no quorum first up so rescheduled and then online with pre prepared questions. They’re as bad as politicians.

We all know for sure now there was no substance to any of it. Penny stock, great 2020 due to freak event, penny stock again.

Val - 100%. I think from mid £2’s down to mid £1’s etc we could blame external forces and so on, but now it’s glaringly obvious that they’re not looking to support shareholders in any way shape or form. There has to be a floor to where they are given leeway and we’re through that now. Yes they’re shareholders as well but it’s peanuts to them, and they’ll just take back their losses in pay rises and bonuses so won’t lose out. And they may be on a kickback for driving it down so low to allow a takeover etc. Who knows. Purely speculation but in the absence of any word from them, it’s all we have.

Apologies for the newbie question, but what will that mean for us and the SP? Obviously it’ll be horrendous but what does it mean in reality?

I’m on the verge of cashing out. 25% is better than 0%, which is an stark change in attitude.

In all fairness no one wants covid tests. No one has any money for that. Energy prices just gone up to £300/month, governments need to help with that rather than spend on pointless covid tests.

We’ve said for a year we need to pivot from covid so we can’t rely on that.

DRB - what else we don’t know is the biggest thing of all, why oh why is it so silent?

Globetrotter - I agree they have to say it. Seems it doesn’t matter what they say about it, the market is having none of it.

I don’t like to say I told you so (75% down, don’t forget) but I’ve been pilloried for months and months for my negative outlook. But look at what is happening. I wish I was wrong.

It’s the party line. They’re likely not lying but just reeling out the party line. Why would they openly say about £100m organic revenues when that is quite clearly about as likely as pigs flying?

It’s incomprehensible how they’re treating shareholders but we’ve no idea what is said in the boardroom. They’re clearly just puppets for someone, like the zombie government are puppets for the media who control them.

But to be £30m under cash? I know I’m negative but that seems unbelievably excessive even to me.
