Genuine or not ??22 Nov 2020 12:32
Several ‘investors’ have written here, that they have no interest in the Charger and it is the waste heat recovery ‘tech’ that grabs their attention. It would seem those investors have carried out no research into the Inspirit story whatsoever, let’s be absolutely clear - Inspirit have no WHR tech - there never has been. What do they think Inspirit have that is WHR tech ?
What Inspirit have been, for the last decade, is a company trying to commercialise a hot water boiler, purchased from the failed company Disenco, itself purchasing the device from Sigma. The boiler’s unique feature was an attached Stirling engine that converted some of the heat from the combustion to electricity. This potentially works due to disparity of gas and electricity prices but only where constant heat and electricity are required. In other scenarios the pros and cons are difficult to determine not least by the incomprehensible figures published by Inspirit.
Many many share boosting RNS claims have been made, virtually all vague and open to much interpretation because of the lack of clarity but virtually all failing to live up to the claims that were made. This is irrefutable – you can simply read the RNS and attempt to follow up the claims in later times.
At this point in time, it would seem the boiler is fading from the scene, and with it shareholders dreams. Now the talk is of WHR the new green energy revolution and the path to fame and riches. Many people and companies have attempted to turn the 200 year old Stirling engine into a winning product and failed. Its uniqueness probably means it is destined for unique applications and will never be a mass market product.
Demonstrably, John Gunn has been unable to turn the boiler into the world class product he claimed – he’s had a decade. Talk of using the engine they have at the moment – a tarted up version of the Disenco engine – in different applications is simply talk only. It will require a huge amount of money with quality people, having quality ideas to take the engine and upscale and downscale for those new applications and the competition is already growing by the day !
The company has 3 employees listed in the accounts – including directors ?
The expenditure on development is extraordinarily small ?
Currently there is no proposed launch date for the boiler ?
If John Gunn and Inspirit are a genuine company with a genuine product then he should clarify the issues being raised by shareholders. Failure to do so will reflect on him and the company and leave him with no credibility whatsoever. This is not a difficult or expensive ask !
