Oldblue: The phrase you highlight i.e. “ … the testing of our microCHP boiler technology again.”

Now that phrase is worth further consideration. My first thought is, what it doesn’t say! It does not say “testing our Charger” nor “testing our verification product/Charger/boiler” nor “testing our latest Charger build” nor “testing our final preproduction build” nor “our latest working model” Quite simply, it doesn’t allude to any finished or close to complete product.

It states “microCHP boiler technology”. My next thought is, does it refer to the boiler element alone i.e. that major part of the final product. Is it referring to the gas burning element ?

Third thought – it could be read with emphasis on the word “technology”. Now that could mean anything, the vibration mounts, the user control display ( note this doesn’t appear anywhere - photos, videos, website another slight oversight !) Does it mean they are testing the circulation pump, the heat exchangers, temperature sensors and so on. So the word “technology” could mean absolutely anything was being tested including testing the strength of the bolts holding the thing together.

You all too easily read into words and statements interpretations that fit your ambitions, hopes and dreams for your shares and wealth. Since I don’t have any emotional attachment to this share, I try to interpret what is there not what I want to be there.

Another point, why did Inspirit not invite Volvo man to their multi-million pound manufacturing and testing facility in Poland to view the wonder device working at full tilt. Would have made a better impression surely.

Far more impressive than the hand cranked model !

What point are you trying to make? Of course it's for the Charger. Have you forgotten for the last year you have been spouting about the Charger - after all it's the only piece of technology Inspirit have under development. The charger is fundamental to the marine/Volvo project i.e. as stated by Inspirit ------- 50%

As usual you reply to something that hasn't been asked or isn't being discussed are you really this clueless ??

And from where does "Volvo the engineering partner" suddenly come from ??? again you dream up relationships that do not exist or have not been announced. Make it up as you go along son, I'll stick to the reality

Do you understand there is no Charger being tested, I don't think I can make it any easier for you to understand.

I understand you will be dreaming of being a multi-millionaire when this hits the big time but I wouldn't place any orders with Bentley just yet. AIM is littered with dreamers that thought they knew better than everyone else !

Surely this is referring to a system considered as comprising 2 major components, the waste heat collecting part (still to be created) and the Stirling engine it feeds with the heat. Since they have the Stirling engine then BINGO it 50% done. I still have reservations with the 6.4 kW output since it simply jumped from 3.2 kW one day, a phenomenal improvement, that rarely happens in engineering design. Imagine someone suddenly stating they had improved the ICE efficiency by 100% one day. Improvements for established technology normally happen incrementally.

That' s all well and good if you can find an engine or application that needs around 6.4 kW or less but if we are talking D13 then you need some serious electrical output to significantly improve the engine efficiency, 52 kW ( for 20% gain) by my crude calculations. Since I am not a rocket scientist feel free to pick holes in my arguments. JG appears to think like my wife - everything think is easy, especially when you don't think of the problems. Since he is a simple money man then it's not surprising Inspirit come out with drivel like this, a further indicator of the quality of their grasp of technology.

CRH1: Did any of your misgivings get resolved by the meeting ? Did JG answer any questions from you or other investors ?

I didn't expect that level of apathy from shareholders. After 10 years of failure you think more would see through Inspirit !

A Volvo D13 produces about 700 HP, at 50% efficiency it produces 350 HP of useful work. John Gunn said that their demonstration improved engine efficiency by 20%. To improve 350 HP by 20% requires an electrical output from the Stirling of 52 kW. The only technology Inspirit have is the tarted up Disenco engine producing, if we are to believe John Gunn, 6.4 kW. Obviously a huge difference! I believe Inspirit demonstrated a model of the 6.4 kW and then simply scaled it up to produce about 52 kW. In addition to having no engine capable of producing 52 kW they don't have a means to capture the exhaust waste heat, their single technology boiler burns gas to produce the heat and subsequently electricity. So it needs some as yet invented or designed device to fit into the engine exhaust to capture the waste heat and route it into the Stirling. None of this is straightforward.

The whole tone of this RNS is confusing, initially it talks of “ for the development of a waste heat recovery system” From that we assume one doesn’t yet exist.

But then the statement “ during the demonstration , the novel three stage heat recycling process increased engine efficiency by 20%” This to me seems to be a reference to the heat recovery system of the Charger, which extracts the thermal output but has little to do with producing electricity. Also it’s written in the sense that the system now exists and actually increased the engine efficiency but then the sense changes once again by saying “e.g. a Volvo Penta D13 series engine.

Presumably a heat exchanger is fitted inside the engine exhaust to capture the waste heat and feed it to the into the Stirling. What impact does a heat exchanger have on the engine performance ? It is obvious that none of this technology exists and will have to be designed built and tested. To suggest that it will take 12 months given their utter failure to commercialise an already existing device, it seems pure pie in the sky.

And at the end of it they MAY get to try it in a real engine - you are kidding me?

Does seem to be little interest, that makes me think CH has no chance of getting on the board and shaking things up. Perhaps I should have bought 1 share but that would have only triggered a pile of wild speculation on the 1 share signal
