Chinese Contract ????8 Apr 2022 11:00
Although I have invested in both IES and BMN and have carried out my research, it is only now that I’m beginning to grasp how big these VRFB projects will become. With the state of energy supplies in Europe I suspect they will come very fast and furious. Profit is a great accelerator!
For Vanadium one figure I’ve seen is 5.5 kg/kWH is required, so for Invinity’s 220 kWH model VRFB that’s 1,210 kg of Vanadium needed. Please correct if necessary.
The latest IES RNS is excellent news for large orders and business in Korea but the recent contract signing release, in China 31 March 2022, which has been removed from the Vanitec.org web site yesterday, but thanks to superzero8 is available on the this board (IES), suggests that 10,000 Invinity battery units could be manufactured annually at a single Chinese plant. Multiply by 10,000 = 12.1 Million tons of Vanadium is needed for a single production facility per year – truly staggering. I’ve followed the BMN board and read the figures without really absorbing and pondering those numbers. The East seems to be adopting Vanadium far more readily than the West.
Since BMN will be supplying IES it seems I’ll stick with these investments a little longer.
