Well higher inflation driven by consumer spending rather than exchange rate for once, so looking more and more positive to me. By no means out of the woods, but at least the SP is back into the 60's.

Hey Rugs - I did a bit of research into IC endangered species potentially affected by farming a few months back as I'm a bit of an eco warrior. As far as I could tell, the main risk species in I.C are primates, with a special area in the south receiving most attention (cant recollect the forest region name now). Regarding DKL as far as I could tell their operations are away from sensitive forest areas, plus their proposed land extensions are predominately brown field sites already used for agriculture. So I think DKL are pretty robust environmentally, if I thought otherwise I would pull my investment.....although I would like to see RSPO progress sooner rather than later.

Whilst diesel produces 10% less co2 ..... it also produces ~1000% more no2 and particulates. Hardly more eco friendly. The sooner it's gone the better.

Nah mine never went to court, TBH the fines although very stressful at the time were small fry by the numbers you're talking. Each penalty was 400 quid. In the end when it transpired it was a minor accounting error, they gave us a slap on the wrists in writing and reduced the penalty to a single item. Maybe they took pity on me as if just started that business? ..... unlikely, they never take pity on anyone lol..

Feel for you there Photo, I got stung with something similar 8 years ago. All my paperwork was filed on a reference number when I incorporated.....the reference number changed, however my accountant didn't update, hence the year after my paperwork disappeared into a blackhole.....HMRC claimed nothing was sent, and we argued for 8 months before realising what had happened, by which time I had accrued 2 sets of penalties. In the end they said as it was the accountants fault they would only charge me 1 set of penalties......and after 8 months of arguing with HMRC (who never listen to anything you say) I considered that a victory!!!! sorry FK looks like the highest sell was just over 4.2p, assuming that allocation was correct and it wasn't a buy (my gut tells me anything over 4.2p was a buy). Haven't done a dummy trade so cant be sure.

PPS from memory I "think" the soundbyte in the RNS was the Q3's are looking better than last years - in which case I guess we're expecting >4500 (?). Quite how much greater is anyone's guess.

PS the reality of gains made today is nearer 10% best case due to the spreads. Cheapest anyone bought I think was 3.7p, best sale price today is probably 4.1p or lower (guess). Still better than a kick in the wotsits ;o)

FK my thoughts for Q3 are >4000 poor, >5000 avg, >6000 above avg, >7000 cracking outperformance.

it would be a different ex-dividend date, yet to be specified....they aren't even sure they are doing it, sounds to me like they may put it to vote from what ive heard in the press.

In fairness, it was inevitable they would talk up future production quarters following a sour RNS. I've been here long enough to be of the mind ill believe it when I see it.........that said, they "should" have a pretty decent grasp of the Q3 stream by mid Sept you would have thought.

I think the regular updates regarding the plantations is a good point, and the statement made about showing updated photos is an excellent idea. It would help us ascertain the maturity of the plants, and DKL should be able to upload photos of that to the website fairly easily. Maybe on a quarterly basis along with the results, or if that's a bit over zealous annually during Q2 when they should be at their peak.

beat me to it JK, I was about to say being back up at 4.25 off that is a real result IMO

looks like its a potential toss up of 33p / share dividend, or share buyback direct from the government. hmmm. share buy back at Lloyds didn't seem to do a lot, but then again GOV dumping shares here sank us quite a bit. Really not sure. Either way its seemingly a win win.

we have discussed on this BB previously, DKL should have known about the "cyclic tress stress". Seems like it has happened before according to this RNS, however this is the first I have heard about it....

also interesting comments about tariffs imposed on CPO by India which is a potential factor in reducing CPO prices. I had been scratching my head to figure out why the drop in CPO prices.

This has been discussed many times previously Cat. Too many to be coincidental. If I can attend the AGM I will be bringing it up, although it's impossible to prove, and no doubt they will deny it. It smells of being people on site who hold shares IMO (whether that's PI or directors, who knows)

pretty shambolic they declared a dividend a few weeks ago, to then pull it. They really should have known at the time and suspended it after Q2's, if they had done that I personally would have been a lot more forgiving ( I even said so at the time IIRC). AGM could be riotous.
