If you go to CHU Amiens trials profile NCT04469491 - you will notice they are running trials for nebulised beta interferon at the moment and as of 14th October are recruiting for Phase 2? How confident are we that this research cannot be hijacked?

Well it aeems like the repcord has been updated on October 14th as if they started recruitment

Modpod... NCT04469491 trials... headed by the French research team in Amiens... how isnthat different from SNG? To me it looks like they are doing the same thing.

Bosi - it does appear that 2 active ingredients used in Trixeo are currently used for asthma exacerbations. Budesonide (corticosteroid) and formoterol (long-lasting beta agonist) have already been researched on for asthma sufferers with rhinoviruses.

It does appear that Trixeo would offer some comfort to COPD patients but not sure how efficacious it would be comparing to SNG. I am not an expert and the above is based on a bit of googling and my limited knowledge so please DYOR. Perhaps they could be used in conjunction ?

Manifesto - it does see like SNG could use with some assistance when it comes to PR/Markcomm, Branding... They are a science-led organisation, I respect that, but we are at this stage where keeping the buzz going and raising companty profile can only help in impending negotiations (or, even more importantly, if going to market directly - it is vital!). They could have split that monster RNS last week into chunks that are fed to the market on a weekly/biweekly basis to keep the buzz going and maintain SP stability.

I am often thinking of just calling them and offering them help, worried that there are only 10-15 of them, regardless of how committed the team are you only have 24 hours in a day and you need people taking care of details.

Org30 - what is clear is that science is very strong, body count is (regrettably) going up and those in the know are fully aware that vaccine is not a silver bullet (regardless of the messages they are brainwashing gen. pop with). What that means is that SNG001 will eventually start reaching hospitals is noticeable quantities and the word of gospel will spread. At least that is what I hope will happen, cynical me sounds borderline clinically paranoid as I am starting to see invisible lobbies and various enemies everywhere :)

B2HS2L - you're right however incredible it many sound that a company developing a cure for Covud needs to shmooze the government of a country (UK) whose economy is tanking precisely because of that same Covid (among other things). Sad but true.

Big Pharma tend to use the fact they are big, have distribution, sales & marketing and existing global networks to drive a really hard bargain with small biotechs looking to partner (who also want to raise profile in the research community by being seen as big pharma partners)

Akron Biotech have 48 employees listed on Linkedin (which means they probably have a few more as they have their own manufacturibg facilities. So not 19, but they are certainly not a big company.

Dusterhater... must admit I am not MAP expert , what I do know is that medicines provided to patients on this basis are normally prescribed in hospitals only and outside normal procedure. Apparently requires addittional paperwork and strictly on a case by case basis (something like compassionate grounds)... again, this ia juat what I read, not sure as never dealt with MAP at work
