Skeletor - I agree that market response to Clinigen RNS was disappointing, but that RNS was not giving any timelines or details around the actual delivery of SNG001 to patients.... that's what makes this huge.

Agreed, they understand the need to explain and effectively sell what they are doing and the impact on patients/shareholders. I would argue they let themselves down with that RNS last week, that could have been packaged better perhaps (to focus more on the commercial potential of Blautix) so everyone understand what Blautix could turn into eventually. But really think the Board are overall very much on the ball, still amazed by the sell-off last week :)

Thanks to the CEO for the interview yesterday and for reminding various clowns about the pipeline treasure chest. And for explaining what that RNS last week meant (and for those who struggle to understand without analogies the Ussain Bolt one was spot on). That interview, coupled with RNS this morning, seems to have stopped the sell-off.

Now we need something like this PR every week- 2 weeks, in various formats (like a slow-release vitamin C) to keep the share price healthy and slowly but steadily rising until the next bomb.

Buying another 5k this AM, angry with myself not to have bought first thing this morning. GLA, good to see SP back in blue where it belongs, let's hope it has settled now and going back up.

There is no more downsidebto this SP. Rationally, this SP should have maybe dipped to 130-140 (maybe) and that's it. I am not a day trader so I kept my shares as I believe in the fundamentals (even more so after the Blautix RNS, funnily enough) so might add a few more tomorrow. In 12 months I reckon this will be 250-300. Imho dyor.

Love the Ussain Bolt analogy - seems like their PR people have been listening to the board here :))))

littletrader - what about residual deaths? Overstretched NHS incapable of performing regular and emergency surgical procedures? People postponing their visits to the GP and being diagnosed later - therefore increasing recovery times? Or sometimes being diagnosed unfortunately too late? Put that into perspective and then tell me how dangerous Covid is...

Even if there are no material news - there could be (for instance) a more detailed presentation explaining commercial potential of Blautix (bearing current clinical trials results), maybe comparing Blautix to current treatments and obvious advantages (no side-effects, IBS C&D efficacy etc.)... People don't realise Blautix is still in the game and a potential cash cow... You don't need to have a clinical trial update to create buzz, any markcomm/PR person will tell you that

Iknownuffin - we are all hurting and no one likes watching SP drift down -I agree with Cityone, we need something positive to disrupt the current sentiment and inject some optimism and belief. As ridiculous as it may sound as last week's RNS was actually good :)
But we can't just have a go at people for expressing their views and for being (rightly) very concerned. I have no doubt that mid-long term 4D is gold, but clearly 4d needs its mojo back. Btw, I am still holding the same number of shares as I did a week ago, (despite being 17% down, I think this will rocket, kudos to you for getting in early @38p)

DocDaneeka :) -Bojo is desperate, government is looking clueless while hospitals are the same capacity levels as back in March. And he is giving a speech where, my understanding is, we will hear also about treatments. The most promising of which is - SNG001. While broker is raising to 9.90 GBP :) All that is happening a day after Prof. Holgate is being knighted :) Oh, also SP is exploding. It is getting easier and easier to be a believer :)

Agreed, unfortunately SP recovery will take ages. Unless we get a surprise RNS about a Blautix partnership or something similar... was hoping for a much bigger bounce back (to between 120-130). This is discouraging, quite simply people are taking their money where it can work for them, shame

Pmjh... same here, when I read Guardian's article saying that part of the reason behind Holbrok's knighthood was Synairgen developing a "treatment for coronavirus" I couldn't believe it. Can they inform Bojo now that there is a treatment please? :)

Thanks Ophidian - essentially seems like we are in agreement . So as long as Phase III does not produce any shocking efficacy disappointments and Blautix is roughly as efficacious as existing drugs - but potentially serving both IBS C and D patient populations , is safe and has no side-effects - it will be considered an IBS go-to treatment for GPs (and why wouldn't they first prescribe Blautix if the above is proven to be true). That makes this drug a blockbuster. Which will make Wednesday's SP meltdown very funny, in hindsight.

That is why I considered RNS on Wednesday very promising, kudos to you for selling on time. I was expecting a bounce back immediately Wednesday AM as I assumed more people would be aware of the above and SP would (at the very least) stay were it was (around 150-170)... frankly at 7am I read the RNS and wanted to buy more as I thought SP would rise from 170.

IBS has not changed, very true. But there are completely new drug classes and technologies being developed today that were completely inconceivable 20 years ago (or not explored at all ) - like Live Biotherapeutics (Blautix) for instance.

Genuinely interested in your opinion as you clearly have experience, just surprised that with your knowledge of IBS (and the difficulties in measuring GI trials efficacy vs. placebo) you think realistically these results re not good enough.

Are Blautix results really so rubbish? Do you think it has no commercial potential?

Ophidian - kudos to your experience in pharma research. Why is it a folly to propose that there could be a safe, no side-effects, first line treatment GPs/PCPs worldwide would be prescribing to patients with an early onset of IBS? Or those with IBS-M? Is that inconceivable?
