@ Aubery - no one asked them to focus on PR/spin. You have people for that - you pay them peanuts (in the grand scheme of things) and there are people who can do an amazing job. But that is unfortunately not the case at the moment.
I agree with you - RM and R&D people should not be focusing on it and one does not exclude the other. As far as panicking is concerned - thanks for the reassurance it will all be OK :)

Good morning fellow SNG diehard comrades... we're in full retreat. Reading RNS again this morning and can't help feeling upset with the lack of detail/narrative in there ... complete lack of "what's in it for SNG" explanation for investors who are not familiar with pharma/biotech eco-system of the importance of MAP/ Clinigen partnership. Very lazily written, purely because they had to inform shareholders.
And, as people read the RNS and hadn't spotted a big name (AZ, GSK, Bayer, etc.) - they bailed. As expected. Feels almost like SNG don't really care which way the SP is going - complete lack of PR/Advertising/brand presence. We need interviews and exposure RIGHT NOW to get this moving and reassure people that this is the best move at the moment. Also, not just with The Times and the Guardian - but also tabloids - they are the ones unfortunately running the country these days.

I jumped in at 190 so it is starting to hurt now :) But still holding as I believe in the science - please tell me I ma not mad for soldiering on.

@Mr BIG - I think RNS showed that there is a plan, and a solid one, that puts SNG into a very strong negotiating position for distribution and partnership agreements once SNG001 is approved. NHS doctors know and discuss Synairgen (I spoke to my neigbour who is a surgeon and she knew everything about "an inhalable interferon they are developing in Southampton", I was amazed, apparently HC community is quite aware). I believe once flu season kicks in doctors will be using all weapons at their disposal, and RNS today has just added SNG001 to their arsenal.

Yes, it would have been better if there was a licensing agreement immediately with one of the big pharma companies but I think we just might get that in a few weeks, from one of the big US pharmas.

Fact is that SNG001 is not just a one-trick pony - it is abroad-spectrum antiviral, might become a go-to treatment for a whole range of viral infections. It has an enormous potential... annoyed a lot of people clearly disagree with me - look at the share price dropping :)

So an RNS arrives opening doors for SNG001 into hospitals - accelerating usage and reducing timeline to approval. Partnership with a company (Clinigen) who is currently doing exactly this (MAP) with top pharmas across EU and the UK. CEO (Richard) doing an interview with investors and big pharma representatives. And share price tanks :) It is funny... serioulsy, what were people expecting???

Obviously a lot of people invest in biotech without any idea how processes work... This was a very smart move by SNG.
Unfortunately daily infections are rising and in a month SNG001 will be approved and in mass-production. It has just found its way into hospitals people. Keep selling, Buffet would be buying ! :)

@pmjh - have you considered a career in the intelligence community ?:)

We need Richard of Proactive to do another interview and explain timelines, costs involved and what this means for the SNG001 distribution... if people fall ill this winter, here in the UK, will they be able to take SNG001 (even if we need to pay for it?)

Ok - to avoid confusion - they said Blautix results announcement "MAY" move into early October. That's all I know

@Brysoa.. spot on. Regardless of sp movement today this drug is now available in hospitals across EU and UK!!! Watch what happens when media start reporting about a drug that gets people out of hospital beds... this RNS is way more than I hoped for today. Next stop emergency approval and licensing agreements (from a much stronger negotiatingvposition as drugbis already in use, efficacious and talked about)!

So the Guardian is choosing to write about trials involving ferrets while, in Southampton, we essentially have a treatment that most of the scientific community agrees is the best way to combat Covid (i.e. by increasing levels of interferon - SNG are even administering it locally with nebulisers).

What am I missing here? Why is there no update from SNG or their IR people? Starts to feel slighyly dodgy. Does anyone here have any idea when we can expect to hear from them?At least an update re the timelines???

Not having quantities is not an issue at all. There are so many CMOs (contract manufacturing org.) that would jump on this immediately, SNG is not meant to manifacture anyways. Once there is any kind of an approval in place everything else will go very quickly, money is no longer an issue as SNG would be sitting ona blockbuster. But we need to get there... wondering why emergency approval is taking this long considering that COPD trials are showing that it is safe???

@ Tonlin... completely agree with you. I am heavily invested as I believe in the science behind SNG001, but I am turning into a conspiracy theorist these days. Imagine people passing away becausebof some red tape or some interest groups pushing their agendas behind the scenes. Why is there no more spotlight on SNG? I want to be wrong (and really hope I am) but it doesn't feel right unfortunately. Even The Times and Bloomberg (!?!?) are not including SNG on the list of potrntial treatments, barely managed to get onto Guardian's list. What could ve the reason?
